i followed the tutorial link to the Sarah quests, but after I navigated away from the quests I cannot find it again. Could someone please direct me there?

go to Riverside, click on the big hamburger, choose "show other quests" under Pete's image, an array of quest grantors will show at the top of the screen, choose Sarah.

you are welcome. When it's daytime, it is easier to see Sarah's house in Veta Lake, it's at the bottom of the screen. At night it's easier to spot that burger and link over.

I'm sorry for the double ping but I have another question. :/ I got a winter sunrise dragon hatchling and it said i can give it to my pet... but what does it do?

You can also add the Quests widget to your sidebar from your user dashboard. You can access all your quests with just one click then. Under the Personal Tab click on User Dashboard on the dropdown, then click on Widgets (center of the options at the top of the page) it will give you a list of useful things to show up on you sidebar for one-click access. Choose the ones you want, and Voila!
