I read sites like airwars.org , the newspaper and I follow the news on tv.

I follow also news about global warming and the loss of livable area.

To make it short: I become a pessimist. I'm at least as so far still optimistic to be concerned and think about solutions.

But I'm affraid more and more to make concerns and tinking about solutions, mey actually a naive, unrealistic way of thinking, because it has no sense to be concerned anymore. It's just too late. The whole socyety of the humanity and the livability in the world will be doomed. Nothing will really help.

I really dislike a way of thinking like that, but I don't know how to change this. I really want become more optimistic, because thinking pessimistic as I do will help certenly nothing.

If I don't follow the news I'm still thinking on a pessimistic way like this, but if I follow the news I have no reason to become more optimistic at this moment.

I really want become more optimistic.

It's pretty much impossible to prevent yourself from becoming jaded, but you can actively fight against it by surrounding yourself by positive things. I find vegan activism is the best for global warming worries as well as reminding myself that not everyone is cruel... Second, and it's cliche, is religion. I haven't been able to get into any myself but it's usually the solution to remaining hopeful... Maybe try finding an artistic outlet that you can use to remind yourself of beauty in the world too?

, Thank you. I'm always creative so that's fine by me. :)

I'm also for vegan activism. It's indeed better, because 80% of the agriculture is fed to the cattle. All those 80% hectares of farming can be returned to the nature.

Personal I have no believe.

Religion is for me a neutral thing with two faces, because I know intolerance what is often come from religion. Very frightening. On the other hand there are also religious people who handle from goodwill and care for others. That's indeed hopeful.

The best thing I saw today, was a program on TV about how city's in Spain start a network to help refugees and don't let over all of this to the politicians.

Ahh so you are already doing much of what I said oops XD

Ooh that is really good!! I wonder if there is a site for purely positive world news? Of course being informed is important but more often than not it overshadows any positive news...

There are sites with happy news. The most I found are airy, light-hearted. It goes most of the time about little things.
