Three times in a 30 minute interval. Once I am on Subeta is it necessary to recheck my browswer again? I don't remember it doing it multiple times.. gradually twice when I come onto Subeta, now three times. I really hope this isn't increasing.

Please move if this is in the wrong area....

that isn't happening to me. if I'm on my phone, I get it checked multiple times I think because my IP changes, but at home on my laptop I don't generally get the check page very often.

a few of my friends though get it more often than I do.

i only get it multiple times in one session when my wifi starts acting up (i.e. disconnecting and reconnecting for no discernible reason). could it be your internet connection is unstable?

I actually get this a lot when I am online with my tablet - eventhough I only use it at home. It's so annyoing especially if you answer a mail or type something in the Forums and when you click "send" you only get the browser checking message and have to type everything again... On my computer I only got this message like 2 times since the beginning...

I'm not really sure what could be causing this either, but I only use my laptop and I've only been getting that message once or twice a day maybe.

It could be your browser maybe? The past few weeks I feel like I've heard more users complaining about issues and errors while using Firefox. I use Chrome and haven't been having as many problems. That's purely a guess though, I don't know for sure if this is the case.

I get it whenever I'm on my phone because that's IP changes, but at home, its a rarity.

I'm on Chrome and getting it fairly often. It seems to be any time after I've gone inactive for more than a few minutes. I wouldn't be surprised if it was something to do with what Frenchi said, at least in my case. I'm at college currently and the internet here has never been great xD It'll be interesting to see what happens when I go home in a couple weeks, assuming this is still going on at that point.

It seems to have slowed down now for me.. very manageable to perhaps simply a fluke for a couple of days?

Thanks everyone for your input :) It seems like some are still having problems

I've been having this issue more frequently. Not sure why, my WiFi is stable more than not and I don't change my IP or anything. Though I am using Safari, so perhaps that's the reason why it happens so frequently.

It checks about every three posts for me. Why is it necessary to check my browser every five minutes, my IP address doesn't change, I use a firewall through OpenDNS, I use a Mac, there is no malwear on my computer and I don't frequent sites where I could be infected with stuffs. It is annoying when I have to post twice to the forums because my post got eaten by a browser check instead of actually posting. That and the fact that the lag on the site has worsened to the point where the forums rarely finish loading and just hang with the swelling little black bars pulsing indefinitely. Like this post for instance.

It doesn't matter if it is Chrome, Safari ( I don't use Firefox on Subeta anymore. ) If it takes longer then three or four minutes to compose a forum message, it will do a DDs check and waste the post necessitating rewriting it. ( I now copy each post just in case of the inevitable dump. )

Yes, I am a role-playing character, but I don’t bite (much.)

the other day i was getting it like every minute or so, i think the site was just acting up because everything was loading really slowly. lately it hasn't been happening, though.

It's cloudflare, a programme/script service that can be put on websites such as subeta, Facebook etc to help against DDoS attacks. So it checks the IPs that connect to the site to make sure they're genuine and not bots (surprisingly a lot of bots can appear to be genuine due to the amount of servers such as ones you can host websites on (VPS - Viritual Private Server) and VPNs so with those available to anyone even someone like you or me. People can use them to attack websites and because of how they are hosted. Any visits to attack the site can appear to be genuine users visiting the site (as in sign up, look around etc) when in fact they may have malicious intent.

Although they may not remove Cloudflare. I do think they could tone it down a bit...it should only really pop up if you visit the website on a different IP to the one you originally visited on or a different device (some people with dynamic IPs may experience issues due to the constant change in their IP).

Sorry for my really bad English ;v; I thought I may try out and put what I know forward.

This makes sense. When I'm at college I have this problem almost constantly (pokes my previous comment), but I've been home for the weekend since Thursday evening and the only time it has popped up the whole time I've been home was the first time I logged on.
