This way, especially since the end of term is coming up, some of our newer members have an opportunity to submit entries for older challenges. There will be 4 challenges this time around!
Writing Challenge In this challenge, Professor Trelawney told us about her stroll through the graveyard and a particular pull she felt toward a certain gravestone. The challenge is to write a small biography of the man or a scene from his life. Here's what we know about him:
Ethan Hartley Born December 12, 1886 Died July 14, 1968
Some rules for this challenge: 1.) Writings should be a minimum of 250 words. There is no maximum. 2.) Keep it PG13 please! 3.) Please include whether Ethan Hartley was a Muggle, a Wizard, a Squib, or some other creature. 4.) Please post your piece of writing here with your name and house.
Each member may only submit one piece of writing, and each piece of writing to successfully adhere to the rules will receive 15 House Points! Please post your entries for this challenge in a post on this thread.
Missing Items In this challenge, I found that we needed to help Remus Lupin find some missing items! Find the names of these items:

True and False This was a new game submitted by our own flying instructor Mr. Caswell! Below, there will be 10 statements listed. You need to determine whether they are true or false. You do not need to correct the statement--only determine whether it is true or false.
- Gaunt's ring was the first of Voldemort's horcruxes to be destroyed.
- Before she took up the post as Defense Against the Dark Arts professor, Dolores Umbridge was Senior Undersecretary to Cornelius Fudge.
- In Harry's fourth year, the Slytherin Quidditch Captain was Marcus Flint.

- Out of the six that rode thestrals to the Ministry of Magic, only Harry, Luna, and Neville could actually see them.
- The instructions for making Polyjuice Potion can be found in the book Moste Potente Potions.
- Barty Crouch Sr. and Barty Crouch Jr. are both half-bloods.

Ethan Hartley - Muggle
Ethan gulped as he stood before the room of people anxiously perched on their seats. He withdrew a handkerchief from the pocket on his chest and dragged it across his forehead to remove the beads of sweat that had accumulated there. He could hear the excited whispers and the little creaks of chair legs as the people grew restless. Glancing down at his watch, his heat fluttered faster than he ever imagined it could. It was almost time!
Piano music swam through the air, notes resonating through the spacious hall as the wide double doors opened painfully slow. Everything stopped – time, his heart, his breath – taken away by the image before him. She was the epitome of beautiful. The room agreed with that as well. He could see the lights come to life and float to the floor; the flowers dancing with the piano music. He’d barely become accustomed to the idea of magic and he was loving it more by the second.
She swept down the hall, her dress cascading behind her like a shimmering smoke. As she approached me, I watched her eyes flicker as they shifted to pink as her cheeks darkened with her blushing – She was beautiful; she was magical. Now that he’d been in contact with the Wizarding World, it had captivated him – mind and soul. All he could think of while they repeated their vows to one another was how much he wished his children would be magical and that they would appreciate the beauty in their talents.

Hi guys! Since this technically ended on Sunday, I'm going to go ahead and lock this up. Since the ball is still open until tonight, anything submitted up until now will count!
