For the first challenge given by Headmistress Persnickety, you are to ask a question to 3 of your schoolmates who are not part of your house. In order to have roleplayers and non-roleplayers alike to participate, we decided to open up this thread to ask questions and answer questions!
Even if you do not get any answers back, as long as you ask a question of 3 members who are not part of your house, you will receive 10 House Points. Though it is highly encourage that any members that get asked questions answer! You can answer as yourself or your character; the choice is yours!
(Also just to clarify - you can ask your questions either here OR in the ball roleplay thread! Though if you're going to do so in the roleplay thread, please do it in character and bold your questions.)
Poppy decided to approach three of the newer faces in Hufflepuff, Gryffindor, and Ravenclaw. "What do you like to do in the winter?"

Arabella gave a shy smile towards Poppy's direction, then proceeded to produce a medium sized sketchbook from her bag. Wordlessly opening the book to a page somewhere in the middle she displayed a watercolor painting of a wintry forest scene.
After showing the piece, she elaborated a bit saying
"When I was young, my therapist thought that maybe my 'delusions of magic' as he called them might be helped my engaging in some artistic exploration, so I took up painting during my free time."
Arabella turned the page again to reveal another painting of a grove of fairies hidden in the forest. "Naturally, he disapproved when I painted some of the magical creatures I encountered, saying that it wasn't healthy for a child my age to have such an indulgent imagination. So to appease him, I'd paint nature scenes like this one. But I always harbored a love of painting magical creatures, as their beauty is so mystifying. The one regret I harbor about growing up amongst muggles is that they never seem to be able to wrap their minds around the idea that there is more to the world than what they can perceive. Maybe under a different set of circumstances, my father would've been more open about my magical heritage. But that is only wishful thinking.
I also really love walking in the snow, seeing the world enveloped in a blanket of white is so mesmerizing. What about yourself?"

"I like to experiment with my potion making with some of the spare time I have off from school. My grandmother left behind a stack of old parchment covered in barely-legible scrawl that has tons of potions that she's made. That, and I have a few muggle friends who have introduced me to Netflix. We are currently "binge" watching Supernatural. What about you, Poppy? By the way, I love your outfit!"
Oh, and I have a question for some of the students from the other houses - "What's your favorite thing about Hogwarts?"
Before the others can answer, Sauvage overhears the conversation between Poppy and Arabella. Abruptly, and albeit a bit rudely, Sauvage jumps in, saying :
"I love painting - especially in watercolors! Do you use other paint mediums or solely watercolor? You said that you've done landscapes, and that you really like magical creatures, but what about portraits? I'm not really all that good when it comes to art. I'm more of a 'jack of all trades' as the term goes. I like to dabble in many things, but I can't say I really specialize in one. Stop me if I'm talking too fast. I just love meeting new people! "
Itachi was happy to get to know people. So walking up to 3 random people he asked them each What is your favorite holiday?
Rox gives a shy smile. "The thing I like most about Hogwarts" she then says. "I could give the easy answer, just magic" she continues. "But that would be too easy I guess. So how about having the feeling I can be myself?" She smiles again.
"Now I have a question too: What's your favorite thing to do when you're not at Hogwarts because of school breaks
() Gaia beamed proudly "I help my dad with our owls. We breed owls for different places throughout Europe, so it is possible some students have owls that came from my home. I also enjoy reading and spending time in the forest. Broom flying is fun there!" Gaia was excited to talk about her home life. "What is your family like?"
"If you could be a cookies, what kind of cookie would you be?" Gaia laughed, but it was an interesting question the choice can be very telling of a person. Gaia then turned to () "What is your favorite hobby? Or past time?
@ sauvage "Hmmm...." Beth pondered. "Everything? I love the environment. Students are friendly and willing to engage with others and the teacherss are passionate about their subject. I like that I can interact with people from different places and that have experienced different things than me. I come from a a wizarding village along the coast of Spain so I've never had the chance to interact with Muggle-borns or Muggles. I love that I'm not only learning the subjects our teachers teach but also from other students."
OOC Question: If you could be friends with anyone from the Harry Potter series, who would you choose? Why? @ Diprosopus @ furiousflamewolf @ Sexy @ sauvage @ Gaia
What is your favourite incantation ??

"I love watercolors! Yours are so peaceful Arabella. I like browsing at outdoor Christmas markets and sitting by the fireplace during wintertime."
"During breaks I like to travel. Sometimes I wander Muggle London alone and shop for clothes. What do you like to do on school breaks?"
OOC: I'd like to be friends with Fred and George because I like people who don't take themselves too seriously. They're adventurous and funny, and seem like fun just to hang out doing nothing with. What about you?

Who is you favorite teacher?
Going Fishing!!! 🐟
(OOC: I would have to say Luna Lovegood, Neville, and totally have a crush on George.)
"I admire Professor Morgan. Her friend Professor Mathers is a close second. They command respect, put me at ease, and are both strong women. Who is yours?"
OOC: Professor Lupin all the way.

"I mostly work with watercolors right now, but I've dabbled in a few other artistic mediums. Back in my muggle schooling years I used to make steampunk and floral themed jewelry for all my friends.
OOC: I would definitely have to say Hermione because I admire how diligent and brave she is. Also professor Lupin, because I always loved his character! He was one of my favorite teachers from the series.
What is your favorite magical creature?
"Why thank you. Going to a Christmas Market sounds like fun!I really love the winter holidays!"
[tot=crashingnightingales]
- most definitely Christmas. Such a magical time of the year. :)
, and - Do you prefer a good book over a movie?
(OOC: Actually either one. It depends on my mood. For Gaia (my RP character is books lol) )
"Oooh, that's a tough question! I do adore dragons. And Hippogriffs. And I'm absolutely fascinated by lethifolds..."
Aderyn pondered for a moment, then asked a question of her own.
"What is your favorite kind of candy?"
Arabella pondered the question for a moment then replied.
"It's so hard to choose just one type of candy that I'm really partial to. But if I had to, I think my favorite would be this type of candy they have in the muggle world it's a 70% dark chocolate with peppermint candy cane pieces! So delicious and it combines two of my favorite things, chocolate and peppermint. Another favorite would have to be divinity, that sticky white stuff the muggles make around the holidays. My mum was rather fond of the stuff and would make it every year."
