It use to be when someone edited their post you could tell because it would say so in the line with the time. It would also have the edit time.
I think this would be very useful to have back again as it can get very confusing when people edit their posts and there is no way to tell that they have done so.
- yup I agree, would be nice to have that back again.
agree :)
nothing more confusing than having a heated topic with first post only content is 'never mind, please lock'. i mean, is it started that way or is it edited. i see no proof.
Full support!
support 100%!! i really don't know why this was even removed in the first place.
It's probably something that just got lost when they revamped the forums. I'm not opposed to having it back.
honestly i kind of prefer it without but it looks like most people like that feature. personally i like the fact that people don't know every time i make a small change to a post because of spelling, formatting, forgotten information, etc. if someone REALLY wants it to be clear that they've made an edit/addition, they'll just say "edit: blah blah blah" or use the edit scode, and in cases of posts edited to just say "nevermind" well, i think that's pretty clear without having to be outright told the post has been edited.
- I agree it is nice when it's just errors but it's not so much about people who want you to know they have edited their post but more the people who don't which then leads to confusion.
I don't think it's so bad for simple error edits so long as it doesn't display how many times it's been edited (especially since there's a forum I use were it does do that XD). Because otherwise for all anyone knows you were editing something truly important since it'll only show the last edit time...
I support this since sometimes it's useful to tell how long ago the OP was active on that thread. For example in a lower down buying topic and you want to know if they're still buying or if they've just completely forgotten about the thread.
I also wish we had a way to actually preview our topics before posting but that's slightly off topic XD
