If for no other reason than this item: [item2=Fiery Book of 911s] I just feel like that's not a very, well, good name? I cringe every time I read that title.
No thanks. It's just a number. It may be associated with with certain events, but in this context, it's just a number.
edit: Also what Laurey said below.
I always thought that was part of its thing, it's because it's on fire. There are other experiment pets with numbers that actually mean something, for example.
it wasn't named after 9/11, they aren't that insensitive.
911 has been the emergency telephone number in the U.S. since the 1960s. That's the first association that jumps out at me.

I also think of 911 as the emergency number that has been used everywhere in North America for decades... And one of the first emergency I think of is a fire...
It seems fitting and has nothing to do with 9/11 and I didn’t even make that association straight out....
I don't feel like this needs to be changed.
I don't see why that book in particular is especially bad?
As others have said, 9-1-1 is the telephone number of the fire department in the US. The book and pet are fiery.
it's called experiment 911 because it's on fire.... and when there's a fire you call 911....
I never thought of 9-11 until reading this thread. Always popped in my head as the emergency number.

I also never associated it with 9/11 (and I'm close enough to D.C. that I lived through part of that tragedy) and I don't feel like it needs to be changed. .-.
i always thought it was about the emergency number. never cross my mind about 9-11 until today. still no need for change i think.
I always thought of 9-1-1 rather than the event.
Same as what the others said. I don't think this needs changed at all.
