FOUR separate times now I have gotten the Wizard Quest Buff RE supposedly giving me an extra quest. So, I drop whatever I am doing, rush to the Wizard Quests, do them, and, as soon as I finish number FOURTEEN (EVERY time!), the buff is taken away and I have only one more quest! Someone else in the Shoutbox mentioned that the same thing has happened to them. I can't imagine that people on phones or dial up can ever get this sixteenth quest in either. If the timer that it is evidently set on this could just be lengthened by at least five - fifteen minutes it would be very helpful to those of us with far slower systems.

I'm able to finish Shinwa and do 15 wiz quests in 15 minutes... :/ A "good" round of quests ist about 5-10 mins for me..

It already has been changed to 3 times more than what it was, it used to be 5 minutes I think? Possibly even 2 minutes. It was adjusted because of a suggestion topic.

I personally feel like it's enough now, I can do all my quests in 10 minutes and I have a slow computer.

I'd wager that the number of users on dialup at this point is very low, and they're disadvantaged in so many other ways on this site, that changing the wizard quest timing would be a drop in the bucket.

Honestly, I just want an event/alert for when we get the buff, and not when it's over.

In the meantime, I suggest doing Shinwa and then Wizard quests first daily. If you get the wizard quest buff, then you will be prepared for it.

This ^^ 9 times out of 10, I never get the big random event notification across the screen that says I have an extra quest available. (This happens with several of those events, like fairies too... appear in my inventory... no random event across the screen)

Agreed with . I hate knowing that I was so oblivious, but I apparently was. I was sitting here before starting my quests, replying to things that had happened over night, when I glanced over and noticed the "?" in my buffs. I was like "oh god you have to be kidding me when did that happen?" I checked- 7 minutes left. I flew through my Shinwa and all 16 wizard quests and somehow managed to finish it all with 25 seconds left. I'd rather not have that kind of pressure first thing in the morning haha.

So... I mean, I'd love it if there was an event for getting the buff, rather than losing it. As long as the buff actually is, if I had noticed when I got it, I would have been done with many many minutes to spare. At that point, I don't care that I "lost" my buff, because it's over and done with. I don't need to be told.

Also it's great to hear that Keith wants to re-do it another way, it sounds way better than how it is now. Buffs were a neat idea for other things, but the way it's set up, doesn't really work for the extra quest.
