I find it's such a let-down when that one is won. It's so dirt cheap that it seems pointless to be even considered in the lottery. A lottery should be worthwhile...and that common potion certainly is far from it x_x

LMAO you've never gambled have you? Sorry but it's a lottery. It's a gamble. You win some you lose some.

The "gamble" comes into play when you buy a ticket, you gamble that you probably won't win, but you might. If the real lottery was like the potion lottery, it would be something like you can win 1.5b for matching all 5 numbers and the powerball, or you can win the $1000 cash prize. Also someone always wins the potion lottery and someone doesn't always win the lottery each drawing.

I don't think the idea is bad because no one wants to win the common potion. I don't think it will be changed though.

Suggestion to change its name to the potion raffle please.

Sometimes you need luck twice, first to win and later to discover what you won..

The fact of the matter is that no one really wants the common potion. It's the one potion that should be removed as it's a pointless potion x.x

It doesn't matter if nobody 'wants' the potion. It's gambling. I mean, at least someone always gets something from the potion lotto, even if it's the cheapest one in the pool. That's just the risk you run if you play the game.

it's a gamble, there is a chance that you might win the lottery. There is a chance that if you win the lottery the item awarded will be the Common Potion if you bought a Mega Ticket.

If you don't want to go into the lottery and win a Common potion, don't buy a Mega Ticket.

Should we remove everything that's not the top 5 expensive potions because "it's not worth it"

Hmm. Whatever happened to constructive criticism?

Anyhooters. I feel like there are too many comparisons to any real lottery in this case. They are two seperate things entirely. I think 'Potion Raffle' would be a more accurate term for it. "Real" lotteries increase the prize each week that a person doesn't win. For example, the Powerball drawings that have been obsessed over recently... The average Powerball jackpot will receive 30 million, roughly, in sales. That sum would got to the person that was able to accurately guess _________, making the odds of winning incredibly difficult. There is no skill or logic behind either, but one is much more difficult and never guaranteed, which only increases the prize.

If our Potion "lottery" didn't guarantee a prize every day, I'd be more favorable of the idea of taking out the common potion. It's sort of a consolation prize (THE SLOT SPORK OF THE LOTTERY).

I won a dollar at the casino once. I buy some scratch cards and rarely win over 3$. We should remove these too.

No but really .. it's just a potion. What about the achievement? It comes with it too.

lol, the REAL prize IS the trophy. be happy if the potion you win recoups the cost of all them mega tickets ;)

if tickets weren't so dirt cheap and easy to bombard i would support this. but with the current system, no way. too easy to take advantage of if it was ONLY expensive potions.

I suppose it's like buying a $5 scratcher and winning $2 :/ I was gonna say any potion that costs less than a ticket should be taken out, but then I went and looked and, though inconvenient to buy alone, a ticket is 500sp. So really, any potion is a nice prize for buying a ticket. (And yes I know most of us mass-buy when trying to win, but que sera sera) While it would be a PITA, you could enter for all except the common potion and not have to worry about winning the booby prize.

OOH! I suggest we have a new method of entering! Instead of the drop down menu to buy singles, we could have boxes to check! So, still have the mega ticket option at the bottom, but instead of the drop box, have each potion with a check box next to it so you can choose more than one at a time. And where the "Buy a Single Ticket (500 sP)" button is, a tally would show up telling you how many tickets (?sP) you have selected and just a "Buy" button. So, say you want to enter for blacklight, purity, and nuclear potions. Click those boxes, and under the list of potions it would say, 3 tickets = 1500sP "Buy?" Example mock up Or instead of checkboxes, they could modify the drop down to allow for selecting multiple choices by pressing ctrl...

No support. I think a large part of the win is getting the achievement. Also where would we draw the line? People will always complain about winning the least valuable potion available. I think it's fine the way it is.

Actually on scratch tickets IRL the lowest amount you can win is the value of the ticket...

You're right, and this is sorta why I'm bothered by the suggestion

First, we remove common, then we remove the low-tier colorfills, then we remove Nuclear, then...until we have pretty much nothing but Angelic/Nightmare/Glade there.

Well you can avoid winning a Common Potion by not buying a Mega Ticket. Simple, fair game, everyone wins. When you buy a Mega Ticket, you opt to win ANY of the available potions, you are willing to take the risk of winning even the Common Potion.

Common potions have their uses. There have been times that the common elixir was overpriced and it was cheaper to by another color and then use a common potion. OR if I have a pet that has a wonderful species but I want the common color, I don't want to use an elixir.

In reference to the lottery, the above comments are pretty much the way I feel. Sometimes lotteries don't yield big prizes. Luck of the draw. It just seems greedy to start removing the cheap ones.
