many times I'm forgetting words, doing typos or writing a bad sCode when I want to add an item or a picture.. It could be nice if we could edit and preview the comment (even with a time limit) :)

EDIT: I removed the "delete" idea :)

I'd love to be able to edit news comments. Hate typos. paginate them too while we're at it.

I was just thinking about this the other day. I make so many typos, half the time I re-read what I'm about to post in the comments 3 times before I send it. Then, I still goofed up somewhere so I would really appreciate being able to edit them.

What about a preview option instead? I think that would be the most useful in terms of sCode and typos.

I'd rather have a preview option, or like...a five minute "you can still edit" window before it locks.

No support for being able to edit afterward or delete news posts.

Yups, I'd say a 5 minute window to edit or delete is fine enough.

I like the idea of either a preview option or a 5 minute window to edit.

I'd love a preview window in hope of spotting any typos.

Yes, please. I am typo city, no matter how careful I think I'm being. The ability to at least edit (and even if only for a small window) would be appreciated.

Yes to editing (please please, even if there's a small time window before it locks), no to deletion, that's probably a can of worms you don't want to open.

Yes to edit.

And a strong maybe to paginate. When a topic goes BAM and there are 800 comments... I don't know about that one - I kind of like hitting the "end" button and giving it a minute, ctrl+F to see if there are staff comments... that would be fussier if paginated. I would probably not bother ... because I am lazy af...

I would like to see a preview option and possibly a short term edit feature.

Yes to preview and editing options. We can do that with forum posts why not for news ones. especially useful for scode mishaps and misspelt things and stuff. that way youre not having to spend like 5 comments trying to fix the damn thing.

Yes to preview and a small edit window of 5 minutes as suggested.

The news comments seem to be a place of drama sometimes, and people would just edit their comment to remove whatever they said. I know we can do that on forums too, and I don't like that much either.

Usually when people post they notice something's gone awry with their comment right away, such as malfunctioning scode, and that's when, I'd assume, they'd edit it. For the people who say things just to start stuff, the backlash doesn't usually come until a little while later. Basically you said it and now you have to live with it.

Pretty much this, and that applies to being able to edit the comment whenever to just remove the text.
