I was once a member of a Warriors cats role playing forum where i accidentally put my age as 10 years older, does anyone else have any stories to tell from forums or pet sites past?
I don't know that I really have any stories to tell.... but I'm also a member of Gaia (which I never go on anymore since they tanked their economy), recolor (which is lots of fun but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone under 18), Neopets (though I don't really go on there, either), and there's probably more that I can't remember. I tend to really like forum avatar sites, but this is the best one I've used by far.
i used to be really active on the fan clubs boards on neopets when they were actually active. we used to have these really awesome and fun rps there, but alas as with all good things those days came to an end. now it's basically a ghost town and the rp group we had was taken over by this really obnoxious, self-righteous 13 year old who was an absolute jerk to everyone but two people. but they probably left too, since the whole site is so dead now. e_____e ah well, subeta's better anyway haha.
RPing was the main reason I stayed on the warrior cats forum, Its dead now and I don't know what happened to it, since i left to go to a private school for two years. I still miss my friend i had on there, her name was Goldenheart and we tried to make our own forum in proboards too which tanked horribly. The site is stil up, so you can still see my cringy 13 year old self. It was renamed to Crystal Dreams of Time and I think it was Tinystar98.proboards.com. I was my old user name on there Pokemon390
Well, er...I joined Neopets almost eleven years ago. Had tons of different incarnations. I hit a really weird period in life and I kept getting iced because I couldn't stop cybering with people -.- I've since left that hideous time, and I'm still on Neo. Aywas and Khimeros, too. I've joined somewhere around thirty petsites in my time, and these four are the only ones that have stuck with me.
I was on Neopets back in the early 2000's. I never talked to anyone on there though. I went back in 2006 after a few years break, but then quit after someone stole my neopoints after I "bought" a baby paintbrush and the staff ignored my complaint.
I was also on another site, which I don't remember. I was on the forums on a few days, but then I quit after I got a warning for something stupid on the forums. I became too scared to post in forums for the longest time, because I was upset about the strict rules.
i joined neopets some eleven years ago and was quite active, i even met a handful of people from there irl and we're still friends to this day. i got my account iced once, but continued playing intermittently for a few more months before completely giving up on that site. i don't really go there anymore, the thing's a ghost town, and it just got really really bad after a point.
Used to be absolutely enamored with Neopets when I was younger (around 11 or 12), was extremely active and just thoroughly enjoyed the site, until my main account got hacked/iced/etc., and I left for a while and eventually stumbled here.
I went back to Neopets a few years ago and was rather... alarmed at how much it had changed (the 'clothing' for pets just ruined things for me, and the lack of unique poses for them).
I was on Neopets for 10 years before they froze my account from cookie grabbing or some shit. I had all but quit the site because I found Subeta. I hated how the site changed when they started pushing the wearables for the pets. It became all about the money. I knew their customer support was shit, so I sent them a ticket and told them to go F themselves and I gave them a fake email.
Way back (grade school), I used to be active on Neopets with a roleplay group, coding and art-ing. Lots of memories there. A friend who happened to be working on Subeta Staff at the time recommended I try this site. Active for awhile before I gradually disappeared due to real life reasons.
I still come back to Subeta every now and then just to see what I missed. Despite having way more memories on Neopets, I find it easier to come back here. I've tried checking on Neopets a few times but the changes have pretty much pushed me out of their target audience. Not to mention, all of my other accounts besides my main got frozen which I would assume is due to new policies concerning multiple accounts. No big deal though, since I don't have the time I used to have.
I was a member of polyjuice.net, a HP forum, which no longer exists. I became a prefect (forum mod) just before it shut its doors. I was stupid proud of that for a long time.
Back in elementary school we all played a game called 'Wizard Mansion.' Something happened to it, I don't remember, anyone else remember that website? It would have been the early 2000's.
I used to be a mod on Gaia. That was...interesting. I did that for maybe a year before I was all 'I don't need this shit bye' and left the site altogether. That was the biggest drama-filled shitfest I've ever been a part of, real-life or online-life, damn.
I used to play a lot of different sites though. Mainly Neopets for a super long time. I left when they sold out and it got all commercialized and stupid.
There was this one site that I loved though, that I can't for the life of me remember what it was called. It focused on roleplaying your pets, who were these beautifully-drawn characters that were squirrell-like if I remember correctly. The world and creatures were based on candy and there was a grape soda river and peppermint trees...I wish I could remember more. I would love to see if it still existed. I think my name was Kyradriel there.
I actively played Gaia from 2008-2011 and still kick it on Neopets since November of 2006. Yeah, it is a lot quieter now, but I still have interesting chats and meet cool users almost every day. I can't give up on Neopets.

All I really knew of before this is neo and gaia. Which neither of them I play anymore ^^;

I was a Neopets addict when I was younger, but then I lost interest in the site. I also remember a site called "Purple Moon" before Neopets, it was targeted toward girls. I remember having items and an inventory. You could also sell and trade those items. Or your earned them like badges, and I remember a forum. The only thing left now are PC games.
was it digis (yaydigis.net) by any chance? o:
Purple Moon was my favorite! I spent hours on that site messaging other people and collecting gems. I remember being so sad when it closed down. :c I was also crazy obsessed with the computer games -- I wish I could still play them but I don't think they work on anything later than Windows 98. Oh, the feels.
I'm so happy you remember too, I was sure I hadn't imagined that website! That's definitely one of my earliest memories of the internet, woah.
I'm so pumped to hear that someone else on Subeta played it! I don't think I've ever talked to any previous members of Purple Moon (apart from the friends I managed to convince to join during the time it was active). Behold, evidence that the site really did exist: oh the memories.
