I have the unfortunate task of announcing that we have some positions on staff that need to be filled. Our groundskeeper and matron have found that they could no longer continue their posts and have left their positions.

I'd like to open the floor to applications for these positions! However, I'd like to try something a little... unorthodox. I am looking to employ a married couple! We at Hogwarts now ask for all of those couples out there looking to show off their tending and healing skills to present themselves for interview.

There will be no voting this time around. Once all have submitted themselves, the staff and I will determine which applicants will be a best fit to join our team.

This is Kal and Rose and they are a bit weird but they get the job done. If you are looking for something more original and unique, you don't have to worry, they can get it done. They have been married since they were 18. They are now 27 and 29. They love the work that they do and they are halfbloods and have a keen interest in magic!

Persephone Kerman-Ross and Juniata Ross-Kerman would like to apply for the positions of groundskeeper and matron, respectively. Both women were members of Hufflepuff House during their time at Hogwarts. Persephone Kerman is a half-blood with dryad blood on her wizarding side. Juniata Ross was the Hufflepuff prefect during Persephone's first year. The two struck up a friendship when Juniata, a muggleborn, stood up for Persie when she was being bullied by some Slytherin boys for her pointy ears. While they had little in common, they enjoyed each other's company and kept in touch after June graduated and found a job as a nanny for the Minister of Magic's three children. Persie went on to teach herbology and care of magical creatures at Beauxbatons for several semesters until she and June bumped into each other at the England/France quidditch final in Paris. Once the two saw each other again, they immediately felt drawn to each other and were married soon after. They have been residing in a cottage in Banchory as wife and wife for the last three years.

Introducing Daniel and Hyacinth Cameron, applying for the groundskeeper and matron positions. Daniel is a Scotland native, and former Gryffindor alum. He knows the area well, and excelled in his Care of Magical Creatures and Herbology classes while at Hogwarts. He has been employed with the Ministry of Magic for the past ten years. Daniel met his wife, Hyacinth, while at Hogwarts, and they have been married for eight years. She is a proud Ravenclaw alum, that excelled at Potions and Charms. After Hogwarts, she took an internship at St. Mungo's and feels more than qualified to take the position here. They collectively decided this move would be wonderful for them. They deeply care for children, and want some of their own in time.

Mr. Takoda Achachak & Mrs. Senga Blackwood-Achachak

Takoda is a healer born in southern Alberta, Canada. His name is Algonquin Blackfoot for friend to the spirits. He was raised in a traditional Blackfoot Indian family by a pureblood witch mother (also a healer) and a muggle father. Wizarding had run in his mother’s family for many generations prior to his birth and her family is one of the oldest pureblood wizarding families in the world whose lineage is said to have stemmed from the first Blackfoot Indian wizard. At the age of 11, Takoda received news that he was invited to study at Natayo School of Wizardry* in the Canadian Rockies, where he was sorted into the Owl house and spent the next seven years studying his craft. Upon graduating from Natayo, Takoda struck out on his own, having had a dream one night about an oracle telling him he needed to travel the world to find himself and further enhance his abilities as a healer. It was on this journey that he met his future wife, Senga.

Senga is a witch with a penchant for herbology and the care of magical creatures born to two pureblood parents in Scotland. She is half-fae, and suffered a tragic accident when she was young that claimed a good deal of her eyesight. She had wandered into her father’s study one day when she was only three years old and had pulled a cauldron of a boiling-hot potion over, spilling it on herself. The healers at St. Mungo’s were able to leave her without any scars on her skin, but could do nothing for her eyes which were left heavily clouded over and barely functional. Over time, she overcame her disability and learned to function just like any other person. This came just in time for her to receive her letter to study at Hogwarts. As a Slytherin, Senga excelled in her studies and showed her true Slytherin ambition in everything she did, never letting her disability get the better of her. She graduated with top marks and the world at her fingertips, though without any idea what she wanted to do with her life. Deciding to take some time to see the world, learn more about her Fae heritage, and experience the many adventures life had to offer, Senga set out on her own. It was on this journey that she met her future husband, Takoda.

The two met in the Amazon jungle in South America when they simultaneously ventured into dragon territory. Being surrounded by a number of angry, territorial dragons, the two had to work together to escape, but not without injury. Senga would have lost her leg to a nasty bite if not for Takoda’s healing abilities. It was during her recovery, as Takoda tended to her wounds, that the two fell in love. Both driven to find themselves and learn more about their respective heritages, they were a match made in heaven. Takoda’s patience was the perfect complement to Senga’s ambition and soon, the two of them began to learn more together and from one another than they ever could have apart.

At the ages of 28 and 27, respectively, Takoda and Senga found their way to the British Isles where they were married. They had just settled down into their lives when they heard of two open positions at Hogwarts. Takoda was ideally suited for the position of healer, and while Senga had never focused on any one particular area of magic, she had a penchant for the types most required of a groundskeeper at the school, and so, without any hesitation, the two of them applied.

The two have been married now for 2 years.

In the above pictures, Senga is depicted with her walking stick, which would be ideal for navigating through the Forbidden Forest when necessary, and also doubles as a staff, which she prefers to a wand. Takoda, meanwhile, is wearing a shell bracelet handed down to him by his mother, and some owl feathers, which are traditionally worn by students in the Owl house at Natayo School of Wizardry.

Alexander and Michael Evans would like to apply for groundskeeper and matron. Alexander is a british royal and pureblood. He attended Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry in 1988 and was sorted into Slytherin. Michael attended Hogwarts in 1989 and was sorted into Gryffindor he is a muggleborn.

At first Alexander didn´t even notice Michael he was a royal after all he couldn´t spend his time with an inferior muggleborn. They got closer when Alexander saved Michael in the forbidden forest in 1991. Alexander was an extraordinary DATD student. Michael´s strengh was in healing magic. After they graduated with excellent grades they travelled for one year.

They were in Ireland when they got caught into a war. Alexander wanted to leave at first but Michael convinced him to stay and help people that couldn´t defend themselves. They spend 6 months in Dublin when Alexander was fatally wounded. Michaels exraordinary knowlegde of healing magic saved his life. After that experience Alexander asked him to marry him.

At the age of 29 and 28 both of them decided to return to Hogwarts. For them it was a place where they felt safe and at home. They´ve been married for 10 years now. It would be a great honor for both of them to work with Hogwarts.

Max O´Conner/Slytherin

Please meet Galan and Althea Calhoun, they would like to apply for the positions of groundskeeper and matron.

Galan was a man of the woods, or at least that's what he called himself. He had been in Hogwarts, sorted into Hufflepuff. Care of Magical Creatures and Herbology were the only two subjects that really interested him while in school. They were also the only two subjects in which he excelled. He always knew that he wanted to live near the woods. Galan was often described as strange and quiet, but also as very friendly and powerful.

Althea had been in Hogwarts too, but she was part of Ravenclaw. She was always studying and people who knew her said she was always carrying around one of her books. There was no real subject in which she excelled, she just did great in every subject. Althea was described as quiet, shy. There were times that people asked who she was when the name Althea was mentioned, because they didn't really know her too well.

Even though they had been in Hogwarts around the same time, they never met at that point.

Years later Galan found himself wounded and taken to one of the hospitals in the area by an unknown person. It was there where he met Althea, now a young nurse. She was the one who took care of him. Even though Galan quickly recovered, he ended up with a scar on his face, a silent memory to what had happened in the woods, something Galan never really talks about. He just says that it happened and that the scar is proof of it, but when people ask him what happened, he just answers with 'it'. After Galan had been in hospital they began to meet up frequently, talking about plants mostly. She was interested in the ones that could heal, he just interested in plants.

People who saw them together believed it to be a very unlikely friendship and they never expected them to become more than that either, but they eventually did. Over the years their love grew. Six years ago they finally took the step and got married, even though they had known each other for around ten years or so at that point.

After their marriage they soon found themselves working together, Galan searched for plants that Althea could use for healing. They were in the forests most of the time, walking and talking about everything.

Groundskeeper - Octavia Brimsey Despite her regal sounding name, Octavia discovered a knack for Herbology and Care of Magical Animals while at Hogwarts. Fitting neatly into Hufflepuff, she passed her practical OWLs with flying colours, although she did slip up on the essay writing. Since then she's been touring the country, discovering new varieties of flowers and herbs. It was on her tour that she met Mungo - she had strayed a little too close to a Venomous Tentacula, but luckily Mungo was passing and able to heal her wounds. They married soon after, and spent the following three years touring the British Isles - Octavia learning more about the native plants and wild animals, and Mungo learning more about the plants required for healing. She hadn't imagined settling down and working at Hogwarts, but she knows it's Mungo's dream to work there, so she's more than willing to apply for the Groundskeeper job, so they can still be together.

Matron - Mungo Brimsey Mungo (no relation to Saint Mungo) was certain he would grow up to be a world-class Quidditch player. He practised daily and made the Slytherin Hogwarts Quidditch team in his second year. While they didn't win the cup, he was the star player until an unfortunate accident when he fell off his broom after being hit by a rogue Bludger. The Hogwarts Matron was unable to save his arm and he realised he no longer had the confidence to fly. During his spell in the Hospital wing, he became interested in healing - despite his injury, he passed all his OWLs and NEWTs and was taken on as an apprentice at St Mungos. During a week-long summer holiday, he came across Octavia as she strayed nearer to the plant that was wise. His training paid off, as he was able to stop the plant attacking and heal her. Despite having a job opportunity at St Mungos, he would love to work at Hogwarts, to give back to the school that helped him find his perfect role in life.

Paddy - Gryffindor

Eilidh Glas-matron Eilidh was born into a family of travelers in rural Ireland. Her parents specialized in alchemical healing and traveled to neighboring villages in order to heal sick guests. From an early age, she began assisting with this work. Her travels have allowed her to pick up on many different forms of medicine and magic. She is skilled in human, animal, beast, and being healing. Eilidh can also spell-cast in three different languages: Irish, English, and Old-Norse.

Naos-groundskeeper Naos was born under the Gibbous Moon forty-two lunar years ago. His mother named him after a blue supergiant, one of the largest visible stars from earth. Due to the alignment of Jupiter, he was destined to lead a philanthropic life. At the age of fifteen, he joined the Peace-Crusades and across Europe in order to promote accord between centaurs and humans. Since then, he has joined the Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures in order to spread equality amongst beings, beasts, and spirits. He is pushing to rename the department "Department for the co-existence of Magical Creatures."

Eilidh met Naos after travelling to the Antrim Mountains, where a small group of centaurs existed on the outskirts of a wizarding village. When a young centaur grew ill, the elder asked the Glas family to assist in healing the child. After days of laborious efforts, the group prevailed. The centaurs threw a celebration under the stars and invited the humans and wizards. Naos caught Eilidh's eyes, and they connected at once.

They wed in these mountains twelve years ago, with both Naos' tribe, Eilidh's family, and much of the neighboring wizarding village present.

Samantha Grant, Slytherin

Groundskeeper- Reginald Goshawk, Matron - Endora Denholm Goshawk

Reginald Goshawk, 56, is a Manx Muggle-born Forester. Descended from a long line of Game keepers and foresters, he seems far more comfortable around magical beasts than other wizards. He recently relocated to Hogsmeade to be closer to the family of his beloved wife of 30 years, Endora. He is a skilled Falconer, horseman, hound master and animal healer, currently employed as stable-master at the Hogsmeade Station.

Endora Denholm Goshawk, 53 is the only daughter of the Denholm wizarding family of Hogsmeade. She graduated with top marks from Hogwarts five years before meeting the love of her life while on a post graduate herbology study on the Isle on Man. She has recently relocated back to Hogsmeade to be near her elderly parents. She is an exceptionally skilled herbalist and apothecary. Her flamboyant outgoing nature is a striking counter to her quiet, taciturn husband.

Megan/Hufflepuff

Eric loved the outdoors since he was just a little boy. When he attended Hogwarts he would help the groundskeeper in his spare time, and he learned a lot that way. He loves dogs and owns two mutts, called Riff and Raff(he also has a sense of humour)

Chelsea is a cheerful, bouncy personality, combined with a desire to help people. She discovered her talent for healing at school, researching healing spells and potions and sometimes using it on her fellow students. She got in trouble the first time she did this, as her spell didn't work out quite right. But after that she learnt very quickly and became a whiz at healing spells.

Eric and Chelsea have been married for five years.

Hunger, Hufflepuff

They met by chance in the Muggle world, when Mason's falcon Brutus was sick. Cara was studying how to heal both humans and animals without magic at various clinics. She took care of the bird for a week. Mason invited her to a falconry fair in thanks, and realized that Cara was a witch when she brought her unusually smart owl Roland. The birds are now hunting partners and the couple is very happily married.

Poppy, Slytherin

Chel Bahiti (34) Wyatt (29) Ashby Married for 8 years.

Wyatt never attended any formal wizarding school, but his people had innate magical abilities none-the-less. They were well known among themselves for their ability to communicate with animals, as well as their knack for growing fabulously successful gardens. Somewhat of a trickster Wyatt didn’t fully appreciate his abilities until later in life. Instead of school, Wyatt spent his youth living in the forests of Eastern Canada, learning all he could from the elders of his tribe. His people were very secluded from the rest of the world, but his drive to learn more about animals eventually extended into him wanting to learn more about different cultures. When he turned 16 and became a man by his people's standards, he quickly set out on an adventure all his own. Two years later he ended up in Egypt where he met and fell in love with Ixchel (Chel) Bahiti.

Chel loved to help people and by the time she met Wyatt, she was already a rather successful healer. Having graduated at the top of her class she had the opportunity to travel between a few large hospitals to further study her beloved art. Having taken an interest in both Magical and Muggle healing rituals, she combines her knowledge of both to preform to the best of her abilities. Chel being five years Wyatt's senior refused to let him take her out on a date until they had been friends for almost three years. They have been inseparable ever since. Because of their genetic incompatibility it is impossible for them to have any children of their own. Perhaps this part of the reason why the couple seeks employment at Hogwarts.

Twins Gwendolyn and Herbert Abbott come from a long line of wizards. They have been working together since they graduated in 1941. Gendolyn has worked as a nurse in St Mungo's Hospital for Magical Maladies and Injuries, as a nanny for the pure-blood families, and on occasion a potions professor in Koldovstoretz and Uagadou as she has an affinity for foreign languages. Herbert is a gardener/handyman who prefers to be outdoors as much as possible and can fix just about anything, often without magic. Herbert is known to be a man of action and few words. They are distantly related to Hannah (Abbott) Longbottom. Gwendolyn is certain her no-nonsense techniques will keep Argus Filch and Peeves in line, as well as the adorable students at Hogwarts. They both come with references from previous jobs. They are applying for these positions of Groundskeeper and Matron as they would like to hold these positions together until they decide to retire.
