My screen's resolution is extremely pale/washed out. It was the only computer I could afford. Does anyone know of any SAFE programme I could download to help with this horrible washed out look that I currently am experiencing? The brightness isn't the issue. Darkening the brightness doesn't help with the washed out look that is associated with the computer. I really would like to find something that could give the colour on this computer a lot more brilliance and a lot less a washed out look. Please ping me if you can help!

Try the Contrast also? Sounds like a combination of the contrast with the brightness. To really check it , I'd h ave to be there.

resolution has nothing to do with colour, its everything to do with size though i asked my husband about a colour programs but its not gonna fix the washed out look of your screen, itll just give you more options for customization

there is more than just brightness you can adjust for your screen, try looking into those options, contrast and colour settings

if he can tell me how to operate this computer, I'd be grateful as I don't know how to navigate Windows 10 x_x

id have him contact you but sadly neither of use have windows 10 i did find this which might help

also be forewarned, it is possible that your screens just like that, no 2 screens (of different make and lines) are the same, of course if you buy 2 of the exact same brand and number itll be the same

I have a Dell so things might be different but I do have Windows 10 so...

1. Find your windows start Icon it'll look like this:
   

2. Find Settings:


3. Find this:


4. You'll get this there on the left side:


5. Go under Theme and you'll get a screen like this:


6. You'll find the word display in that lower left corner were it says see also. Click it to get this screen:


7. Here you'll see Advanced Display Settings. Select it to get the screen below:


8. Once you get this you should be able to use that link there to the Color Calibration to follow the process there to straighten it out (hopefully).

What said. It looks the same on an HP. (Just confirming.)
