I'm sure this has already been asked and answered at some point but I haven't found it yet, so I'm hoping someone with more experience can help. To anyone who has used the swap your pet's name thing/option, I was wondering exactly how it worked. For example, does it just change 'pet A' to 'New Pet' and 'New Pet' now has all the stats and books read that 'pet A' had? Or do the books read move with the pet name? I was thinking of swapping a couple of mine but I don't want to lose books read, etc. If anyone knows, help/info would be appreciated. Thanks!

I had expererience to swap a name and it's intirely random and very very risky. (You can get a name with numbers). It's not without risk you get a name that's not so fancy.

You could better on your petpage click on the little pencil by the pet you want to chance it's name and than click on "change name". Than you can choose a name you want. It costs 500 CSC.

oh I planned to do it that way and pay to swap names between two of the pets I already own. I just wanted to know if their stats and things like books read stayed with the original name or how that worked...if that makes any sense. For example if I changed the name Biscuit Bandit from my cream ruffie who is level 2 to Ryder Lee who is my angelic ruffie and level 10 and has read 9 books would the new Biscuit Bandit become a level 10 angelic ruffie who has read 9 books?

Nope, a nameswap has no unfluence on any of the petstats and also not on the colors or specie.

so would a name swap make Biscuit Bandit into the angelic ruffie? That's really what I want to do but I was wondering if it affected books read and food eaten. Not that worried about other stats since I'm not a real battler and only have one pet I train and battle with.

No, I'm afraid you must collect and spare for an angelic potion. Swap a name has nothing to do with the rest of the pet. It just change the name nothing more than that.

You make more chance to get an angelic pet by the ultumate petzapper, but it wil be a very tiny change you pet become an angelic ruffie. You mey already glad to get an andelic pet by the petzapper in general. It depand if you just like to have an angelic pet or you really want a specific angelic ruffie.

I have got an angelic ontra and I had to collect sp and CSC for a long time, because I really only want an angelic ontra and at this moment no other angelic specie.

swapping names (via the name exchange) ONLY switches the names of the two pets you're swapping. so let's say you have an arid feli named "snowy" and a twilight ruffie named "shadow." if you swap their names, the arid feli will now be named "shadow" and the twilight ruffie will now be named "snowy." absolutely nothing else about each pet will change. everything in the arid feli's treasure will be the same, their stats will be the same, their books read and food eaten will be the same; they will just now have a new name. same for the ruffie.

awesome! Thank you for your help! I have my ruffies and also my chai's that I was wanting to swap names, but I didn't want to lose the 100+ books one of the chai's had read just to get a new name. It helps to know that she can have the name I'd like her to have and still keep her books. I think I might play with my pets later and try out a name exchange :)
