There's all this sphinx stuff being released, and seeing that awesome battle challenger they brought out recently really made me wish they had sphinx pets.

They always look gorgeous, and I think they'd make amazing pets. :c

We have a griffin pet, the Irion. It's kind of similar?

I love the sphinx items, but I can't get behind putting humanoid faces on a pet. I wouldn't object to more sphinx-like pets but as for the humanoid face, I'd say get an overlay on one of the ones that exists.

Yeah, I agree about the human face. It would look cool if it was similar to the one that was just in the news. Another neat idea would be to have the sphinx have another primate's face instead of a humanish one. Like a mandrill faced sphinx would look really cool imo.

Because we don't have humanoid pets already? We have the Harvester, Ghostly and Warador, all of which have humanoid body types, if not faces, and the warador is absolutely a human face...

The sphinx challenger doesn't have a humanoid face though. That's just a mask. You can see its real (beastly) face peeking out behind it. :o

But yeah, as pointed out, the Sphinx's body is really similar to the irion, so I don't know if we need another pet like that?

The face can still be a human-esque kinda monster ? Maybe a monkey of sorts.

I love the different interpretations of "sphinx" seen in the thread. The basic idea stays, humanoid face with lion body, but it really depends on the culture you're thinking about. The challenger resembles the greek one, which also has eagle parts, but was talking about the egyptian one.

So we can totally have a sphinx experiment with Subeta's twist.

But... Isn't that the point of some of the experiments ? And people were getting annoyed over the amount of "cute" experiments at one point, so adding extra creep would be cool. Also, a human face on an animalistic body is creepy as all Hell to me.

Not to say I wouldn't be all for a monstrous lion face similar to the challenger. Or something else. Just throwing ideas around.
