Erh, hello everyone! My name is Alina, but you can call me Tutu or anything that suits your fancy. Back in the old days, I used to rp quite a bit but life got busy and that all slipped away. However, I would love to give it another shot! That being said, here are some further thoughts on the matter:
Mostly, I enjoy what I call "organic world-building"; this means we, as a team, pick a genre. Then, depending on if you have a plot/character/idea already in mind, we discuss and build a "world" together. The details of this world are really up to us, depending on how deep or shallow we want to go. I've had wonderful rps where my partner and I created, sketched, and chatted about tiny mechanics of how hunting or magic works on this world, and I've had other rps where we thought "Well, we have a genre, we have a basic plot structure (ex: Runaway space pirates), LET'S GOOO!" and just kind of dived in! I'd love for someone to engage in this with me again.
On the upper note, I enjoy these topics the most when it comes to genres: Fantasy, Sci-Fi, Supernatural (not super cheesy though... like some deep, mythological stuff), Steampunk-ish(?), and Medieval. I prefer to rp humans or subeta pets, and love having a "cast" of characters with maybe three or four main characters between us. Currently, however, I am really craving a swash-buckling, high-fantasy, thrilling space adventure. Something futuristic and daring, with deep dark mysteries to uncover and awesome Mexican stand-offs. I am really up for anything expect fandom! Not really a fan of that. If you have a character/plot/idea/setting you've been craving to build up, I'm the perfect person to help along with that.
I really, really REALLY like plot. I love plot so much, I would say that if you are one of those people that thrives on character conversation, we are not going to have a great roleplay together. To me, characters interact and get to know each other through actions and plot build-up, not through talking. I really ask that you are comfortable throwing in plot-twists; I don't even really care if you /MINOR/ powerplay to do it! Also, I tend to lean much more towards action-adventure/comedic roleplays than I do drama/romance. Don't get me wrong; I love drama/romance! However, I think it should develop organically, naturally, slowly, whereas comedy and action should be integrated constantly. I love wittiness and ironic situations and all of that good stuff. Gore/action is fine, cursing is fine, but I ask that when things get hot & heavy, we fade to black.
I prefer to rp over email, and talk over AIM, but I'm flexible! I think that's all folks! /sips tea & waits/
Can you picture it? You. Me. Working on a roleplay. rocks eyebrows
(I can and the picture looks pretty awesome in my head.)
Aren't you pretty much the one who created the PIR tag anyway?
Or did I imagine that from back in the day? Maybe I did. Hmm.
Whatever. Moving on. It definitely appears that we are compatible people. I enjoy world building -- either in extreme or small quantities, depending on the partner -- character development, and engineering plot points. I'm really up for whichever way you want to go with this, but I would adore the opportunity to hash out a new world/setting with you and go wherever we please.
Actually, I think I lose a lot of potential partners because I build too much or ask too many questions. 8/
My preferred genres are the same -- fantasy, high fantasy, sci-fi, supernatural, myth/legends, and the like -- and I also strongly prefer human or humanoid characters. I do occasionally roleplay a handful of my subeta pets but they're not always available given their status as characters in novels I'm working on. Sometimes I can tweak them for roleplays if I'm trying to work on their development and such, though, so if I think they're highly suited to a roleplay or compatible with other people's pets, I will offer them up as tribute. Similarly, I do not tend to crave fandoms, and I do not RP canon characters.
I am very comfortable throwing plot twists, I don't mind doubling or having a small interactive group of characters floating around, and you know what? I think powerplaying in the smallest extent is acceptable in many lights as well, particularly/mostly if we've talked about this plot point, and know where we want to go with it. You seem intuitive enough to know when it would and what would be acceptable in those terms and I like intuition in a partner. I'm much more into adventure than romance and I also prefer the blackout.
Do you have Skype? I too prefer to roleplay over email, but I no longer have AIM to chat and plan things. I do have Skype, however, if you're interested and available there. I could potentially reopen AIM channels though. Otherwise, I'm fairly active on Subeta right now (aside from the hours I have to work when I don't get any opportunities to check things) but we could also do a fair amount of planning through sMail despite how buggy it is and the character limit.
A thrilling space adventure with outlaw stand-offs sounds great to me, btw. If you want more info on me, my profile is a bit telling, and has links to other relevant things, I swear. ❤️ I look forward to possibly hearing something back from you.
Ahem. For now, I'm going to stand by, and let you weigh your options. If you want to RP with me, you know how to get in touch; I'm going to bed! ;)
EDIT: omg a forum point for this post. ❤️❤️❤️
AHHHH, yes haha I did, I can't believe you remember the PIR tag thing! It has literally been /seven/ years since that time of my life (I was curious yesterday lol) so I think that's just really amazing that you remember! Obviously I don't say this to make you feel old lol; wear it as a badge of honor!!
Thank you for understanding the powerplaying point. I was wondering how that idea would be received, and I am so glad you understand the dynamics of why at times, small, minor nudges are needed, just for the sake of fluidity.
But YES, MY ANSWER IS A WHOLEHEARTED YES ~~ I will even go download Skype right at this very moment. Maybe you could send me your Skype contact name via comment or sMail? I am in Central Timezone, so according to your RP Page, I should be only an hour behind you in time!
