Does anyone have a list of the cheapest books/cds to raise your pets' intelligence on subeta? I tried subetalodge but their list of low-to-high prices is inaccurate. Any suggestions? I discovered cds and musical notebook things like the music shop sells will raise a pet's intelligence too.

I'm trying to raise all my pets' intelligence to at least 60 to help them get promotions in the job center. I want them all to be stylists, because they're totally stylin'.

Subetalodge is the best way to find out this kind of thing last I knew. You can try the Item Directory Building in Centropolis, maybe their numbers are better now? I know when I was first starting out reading, doing Alexander's Library Quest I'd get two copies whenever he asked for a book that seemed cheap at the time. This gradually got everyone smarter. Holiday events also tend to give out books for free, so if you go through a years' worth of holidays and buy extras of what's being out all your pets will also get gradually smarter at a lower cost.

If you only need sixty-ish books, then restocking directly from the Book Nook should score you either books to read, or books you can sell for sP to buy you cheaper books to read.

Ah, that's the one I was thinking about. That's the one that isn't giving me accurate prices--it'll say something's low, and then when I look it up, it's actually higher priced than something later down on the list. The item directory building is something I've not checked yet though!

your best bet is probably to restock straight from the book nook - most things there are ~2000 sp. anything that estimates items' user shop prices, whether it be onsite or off, is bound to be rather inaccurate and unreliable simply due to the way that information is stored/retrieved.

Yeah Subeta could really use a better way to sort and search their items :/ I'd agree that shop restocks are cheapest, it's rare to see any books sold in user shops for less than 2000.

I agree; just going through Book Nook is the best way to go about it at the beginning.

When I was looking for cheap books, I used SubetaLodge. If you sort by user shop price, it's pretty inaccurate. But, if you sort by rarity, it's better. Some of the lower rarities are kind of expensive, but it will give you a general idea of cheap books. There are LOTS of them.
