I work full time in a demanding office (two actually, same owners) and by time October comes around I'm itching for our two week December vacation. Now I'm in it and it is completely weird. It's great but it's also weird. It's Saturday and I have nothing to go back to on Monday. I have stuff I want to do next week but I fear that by time I'm done decompressing, I'll be back at the office.

I didn't realize I'd get so damn used to adulting.

If you have time off, what are you doing with it?

I'm a full time college student and as soon as the holidays break hits, I'm feeling very bored and out of place. I'm so so used to study and rush through all my homework, analysis and essays that I feel like I'm waiting for the other shoe to drop. Which is why I tend to read a lot and workout during the holidays (and I try to watch a lot of animes and movies to keep myself occupied). While I can browse the internet all day long, I feel very restless easily.

Breaks are a godsend and a terrible martyr somehow.

  1. sleep until i can't sleep anymore.
  2. wake up. make plans.
  3. surf internet, eat when hungry. basically procrastinating.
  4. regret the whole day. wish tomorrow is different.
  5. repeat :P

this is pretty much mine lately. adulthood sucks. by the time i'm not tired and ready to do something else, the break is over.

I have a whole month off from my studies, and I have to say I feel a little weird because I've spent the first week at mom's and soon I'm going back to my own tiny apartment... I'm starting to hate the place where I live, it's too close to the city, too far away from the fields and the woods, and it's so small I feel like I can't do anything in there. :c

The first week was pretty much all about Christmas. Once I get back home, I'm going to spend a lot of time walking in nature and reading books... and I always spend weekends with my boyfriend. I was thinking we could finally check out this one cat café. Other than that, I don't have much planned. I'd really like to do something significant with my free time instead of just sitting around and letting the hours slide by unnoticed.

I just started a new job this year, so I haven't built up/earned the vacation days yet. I did however take Christmas Eve off.

I feel so fat and lazy right now. There's a bunch of stuff hanging over my head in the background (work projects that need to start up on Monday), and I have started my annual post-Christmas cleaning out (which is a long process), I'm just sitting here like deeerp weird... I just want to eat cookie and hide.

funny i was actually just thinking this earlier today haha. for me the weirdest part is being with my family after spending almost four months with only my flatmates... i had gotten so used to just saying whatever was on my mind regardless of how vulgar it was. i made a raunchy joke some days ago without thinking and my grandma got really angry at me. o A o i had also forgotten how great real food tastes. and how awesome it is to not have to wash your own clothes. or have to clean the kitchen. or literally do anything~
