There wasn't much money to go around this Christmas so I didn't get much. One of the things my husband got me as a bag of chocolates in my stocking and when I took a nap later today, one of my dogs ate it. Neither of them are sick, thank goodness, but I'm so irritated that the sweet treat I got went to one of the dogs instead of my own tummy. :/

Thankfully neither of the dogs ate my new slippers or my Cards Against Humanity game.

I also got a lot of nice gifts from my Secret Santa, who hasn't yet unveiled themselves (but thank you if you see this).

To everyone who celebrates Christmas either religiously or culturally, what was your day like? I hope it was a nice one!

Edit: I decorated my Subeta tree very nicely a week or two ago and now it's not decorated. Hmm, I wonder what happened.

The trees are being all wonky! Mine got undecorated for a while at least too!

We didn't have much money this year IRL either. So we didn't do gifts. We did get my toddler Simon's Cat in book form. She is so happy! :D And I baked goodies. I'd be so mad if the dogs ate my treats too! BOO!

I haven't celebrated Christmas in years, mostly because my mom never end up having money at all. I gifted my friends, my mom and my brother because I'm used to not receive anything .. it doesn't matter to me anymore. I got a Ravenclaw scarf and beanie from , some chocolate and cookies from a friend in France, 200$ from my father that never gets me anything at all, except on christmas and my birthday when he doesn't feel cheap? and I am waiting to see a friend for our gift exchange.

I'm also going to see Star Wars with my little brother on Sunday because he's paying with the money leftover he has gotten from his uncle. As for today, I had a "special" dinner. I helped a bit and watched some animes. It was a chill typical day.

Christmas isn't all about presents and there's no reason to not celebrate due to the lack of gifts. I hope you had a nice day nevertheless.

That's what I've said to my mom, but she always feel cranky and crappy during the holidays. I've just decided to let it go. There has been a lot of arguing but it was okay.

I hope you had a merry christmas too!

I'm sorry there's stresses. I hate drama, esp on holidays. Spoil yourself a little and enjoy the good parts?

Simon's cat is so fun! :)

We celebrated Christmas on Christmas Eve as is the tradition in my country. We skipped going to church this year to save time, which I'm thankful for because I'm not religious at all. The Christmas dinner was delicious as always, and we had some mulled wine in candlelight on the porch.

My family always gives presents anonymously, we just put them all in a big bag and they're all from "Santa". I got some pretty good stuff this year, a gift card to the grocery store and wool socks in nice colours amongst other things. :3

The last few years Christmas has been slightly ruined by people getting too drunk and causing a scene after midnight, and this year I thought it was gonna be fine because grandpa went to bed so early, but then I woke up at 3 am... mom and grandma were shouting to each other and crying about tablet computers. Neither of them has ever even used a tablet! Like Donkey said in Shrek the Halls, "My mama used to always say, 'Christmas ain't Christmas till somebody cries!'" .__.

On the whole Christmas was enjoyable. I'm glad it's over now, though. XD

We celebrated Christmas on Christmas Eve this year, because we were going to my grandparents on Christmas day. My mom told me that I wasn't going to get a lot of gifts this year because she wanted me to put the money on my Visa.

To start... I hate the movie Frozen. My younger brother thought it was funny to get my mom to wrap all my gifts in Frozen wrapping paper. He even got me Olaf slippers and an Olaf that sings -_-

In other gifts, I got a sterling silver ring from my brothers (which doesn't fit my finger because I'm fat), a heater and filter for my new fish tank, a pair of PJ's, some gift cards and a little bit of money (which went on my Visa).

From the cousin drawing that we have every year, I got a beautiful white sweater with a droopy neck so I look like a Librarian when I wear it.

My mother-in-law got me a pair of jeans, a red v-neck sweater, a Deadpool t-shirt, and combat boots. Got me and my husband a wax melter.

My mum got me two jackets, two pair of jean leggings, and a light blue sweater and a slow cooker.

My aunt got me socks, a candle, a Deadpool blanket, Bath and Body Works Vanilla Noel lotion and body wash.

My grandpa got me a $50 WalMart gift card.

My sister-in-law got me two tumblers, orange and green nail polish, glow sticks, and that was about it.

I made out like a bandit this year.

My parents gave me $100 to Lane Bryant, $15 to iTunes, two beautiful sweaters, SEA MONKEYS OMG YESYESYES, a couple of necklaces from Lane Bryant, an over-the-door jewelry chest that I had to return because it didn't fit my door, two books I really wanted, COLORING BOOKS OF AWESOME OMG, and $100 cash.

My best friend gave me $25 to Amazon, $15 for Xbox, a really pretty Soho wristlet, purple glittery nail polish, and a cute little norfolk island pine tree.

Various people from work gave me $5 to Starbucks, $20 to the local theater, and a shit-ton of cookies and candy.

My aunt gave me a pair of silver kitty paw earrings.

And listing all of this out here, I feel like a spoiled brat. But I am thankful for everything I got. I hope you all had a great Christmas too!

I think my favorite part though, was getting to sing with the choir I used to be a part of at my former church. They invited me back for the Christmas mass and concert and it was so much fun seeing everyone both at practice/the party the week before and the actual event. I miss them and if it wasn't so far/if my schedule allowed, I would still go to church there every week and still sing with them too.
