Before I finished reading the news I had 99+ events (most of them the bugged stocking events). I deleted them before fully reading the news post and now I don't know what I actually need to delete >.<

Yes! If you check the news post and comment section that goes with it, they ask you to please delete every item you got from your stocking. The link for opening up the tree will be out in a few days and you'll get your gifts then. :) Hope this helps.
