Hello everyone!

Happy Lumenaire. Just wondering what does the "(legacy)" mean under pet birthdays on their profile?

I'm not 100% sure but I believe legacy pets are pets created from 2006 to 2009, aka they are quite old :P

At some point in 2009 or so, they added the adoption date info to each pet's page, but they didn't have a way to trace that information on any pets before that time, so those pets just get "legacy".

All it means is that pet has been on your account for quite a while.

A lot of it started too because users at the time were very interested in finding out who had owned the pets previously! I remember quite a few users tracking down pet owners (out of pure curiosity, I think, and in some cases wanting to see if previous owner(s) wanted the pet back).
