At least, sometimes.
My mom let me open the CHristmas presents she got me just a little bit ago.
While its things i needed, and kinda wanted, I felt like I didn't seem to appriciate them. But yeah, I do. It was only stuff from the local Dollar Tree, but right now things are tight money-wise.
Ive made most of my Christmas presents, or plan on giving things i already had (which are still in very good condition). Mostly to my cousin, who likes a lot of the same thigns I do
And since the thought of not mentioning the things I got/made her wont leave me alone (if it makes sense?) They're...

I could be given gold and rubies and have a pokerface. It's just a flaw I cant help. For that reason I hate holidays like this. Though my abusive family tend to give gifts that are impersonal and cheap, foods, soap sets, things like that. Things I could never want and usually things I'm allergic to. You're very lucky to get something thought was put into.
I have the same problem... My face is just not all that expressive, and the pressure of knowing everyone is watching to see how you respond really stresses me out... Even if I love it, my face is going to look all dumb and plastic! And then my husband's family does this thing where right after you open a gift, you get up and hug the person it came from, instead of just saying thank you... I find it SOOOOOO awkward!
