You walk along minding your own business, as you so often do, when something suddenly drops out of the sky onto your head. Something heavy. You wince and take a moment to clutch your throbbing scalp before leaning down to examine whatever strange object just assaulted you. It appears to be... a book?

"Heh, whoops!"

An unfamiliar voice sounds from above you. Peering up, you see a wizardly fester grinning down at you rather sheepishly, a disorderly satchel of books clutched in his gloved talons. He alights upon a nearby branch and regards you as you glare up at him, rubbing the top of your head reproachfully.

"Ah... sorry about your head, there," he says, still grinning. "Books aren&;t usually meant to give you headaches... Not unless you&;re studying something difficult, anyway."

He struggles for a moment as he attempts to stuff some of the errant books back into his satchel. Still more continue to tumble out, but he doesn&;t appear to care.

"You know what? Why don&;t you keep that." He stares blankly down at the small pile of books that has formed at the base of the tree and shrugs airily. "Those too. &;Tis the season, after all! If you start reading now, maybe someday you&;ll get to be half as smart as I am!"

He winks cheekily as he takes flight again, promptly smacking straight into a tree branch. You hear a string of muffled profanities as he departs, leaving a couple of gently wafting feathers in his wake.
