Because I just managed to get something 350-token (eeee), and found the 5 1000-tokens I had locked in my inventory still locked and there. This wouldn't be odd, except I haven't done my wizard quests today yet. ??? Unfortunately I can't remember how many I had before, but...

Locked tokens won't be used. You need to turn them in to the wizard to use them.

BHH takes tokens out of your bank, so the ones in your inventory will not be used. ^-^

- I... wish I had known that, for some reason I was SURE they had to be in the inventory... so I've been having to manipulate to get just my quest tokens into the bank. This is so much easier now I know, thanks a lot!

Back in the day they had to be in your inventory, but they've been coming out of the currency bank for a while now. (Maybe 2+ years, I think.) You're welcome, though! Glad I could help. :3
