I've been trying to decide on a name to use on sub for my charcter Varsna, since I don't want to have a pet named after my UN (since it'd be weird to me despite the fact that that my online handle has become the same name? i blame videogames on that but anyway) pretty much he's my total baby; it's a character i've developed for years and write a lot for but i really want to do more stuff with pets since it's a "get outta ur shell vars" kinda dealie. anyway he's a smol little shape-shifter brat thief, but most of his life and the way that he lives is focused on "moving on" from things and hardships (since the setting he's in is impoverished and war-torn), and dealing with fear and doing things anyway despite it. conceptually, a lot of the themes i write with him end up being a play of what's bravado or courage, how they differ, how one over the other can show growth, and how whichever it ends up being neither are the absence of fear, but the will to act despite it.

SO! i'd love to use the name 'afraid' because of the last sentiment especially; i originally wanted to use 'unbroken' or something along the lines of 'relentless' because of the concept of the human spirit and just pushing along because of self preservation and not wanting to die and all that, which was my hesitation to app-post at first, but ultimately i figured afraid feels better to me so i should probs shoot for it while i can and not diddle my butt thinking about it too much more doing the mopey zoo lion pace
