I was just thinking about this recently, and it struck me how much variety there is among the NPCs here. We've got a gender-ambiguous person (Quentin), someone with dissociative identity disorder (Mori/Nori), a gay couple (Ian and Jaxon), an asexual couple (Nico and Liz), and even a trans now (Jogoh)! I just want to give a shout-out to the staff for being so amazingly inclusive with the NPCs! Way to go Subeta team!
You forgot about Esther and Emma. :'D
But I agree that it's nice to see diversity among the NPC's. I'm looking forward to seeing more of that as well.
D'oh, figures! Just goes to show there are so many notable NPCs/relationships that I can't remember them all! Obviously their relationship is just as cool to see as the others. :D
I'm constantly impressed by the diversity of skin tone and body shape, too. The art of the NPC's is just excellent in general ^_^
Thank you for not making every woman have giant anime boobs.
As someone who's genderfluid, Quentin makes me incredibly happy. The diversity is awesome in general, but Quentin is my favorite.
I'm grateful for the big improvement in a variety of physical features. The older, anime style art made for people with much more generic and bland looks. Now the NPCs are getting distinct faces, weights and ages! It's fantastic.
My thanks to the staff for taking risks and experimenting. I appreciate it all, even if some of the revamps have been controversial.
Ah, yes, Subeta is by far the best site regarding diversity. The NPCs are almost as diverse as the user base - all ages, all body types, all sexualities, all personalities - and they're all wonderful. It's definitely a big part of why I stay here and why I love this place so much. c:

The diversity here makes me so happy. I'm glad to see NPC's of all body types as well as all walks of life. Each NPC clearly has their own style and personality. It's like their art tells a story rather than just being some generic shopkeeper.
Kudos to the Subeta artists for being so amazing!
The diversity of NPC's both visually and story-wise is one of the biggest reasons why I love this website and have stayed so long. Kudos to all involved!
I see people complaining about this same thing, sometimes, but it's the main reason I'm still around on this site. It makes me feel like the mods and artists care about us, even just a little, and that's a pretty big deal.
I'm so glad for the revamps. I love the more realistic, diversified looks the NPCs have now. c: Great job, subeta.
I love all the diversity. It makes the site feel comfy.
The sheer variety of character and design is DEFINITELY something I love about this site. While people do like to complain about a lot of things, and there have been some issues (mostly with functionality in my experience), I absolutely love how dedicated the Subeta team is and how there's something for everyone here. There's really nobody who's left out, except for meanies who want to ruin everyone else's good time. They get left out. As they should. Hmph.
Kudos to you, Subeta artists! It's been absolutely lovely watching the style and ideas grow up with myself, and, presumably, with you guys as well. It kinda feels like we've all been in this together from the beginning!
Esther and Emma are my favorites, and of course that's in part because they're my representation on this site! :D I just love seeing them around and when they have little quests and plots.
Someday I'll get my Esther and Emma couple plushie to match my and .
I'm super thrilled with it too! 😊 ESPECIALLY with the ace couple! (that people complained about, calling it a "tumblr thing" in the newspost... lol.)
I appreciate how different everyone looks, too ^__^

Yes! The NPCs are some of my favorite things about this site because as Subeta has grown, I've seen so much expression and representation for people from all walks of life. So many different forms of body type, race, sexuality, lifestyle choices... it's really wonderful. On a personal level-- as a hunter and hiker, Wesley and GoOutside in general were especially wonderful to see when I came back to Subeta from a hiatus. Not to mention, Wesley's backstory is a bit sad (but realistic) and reminiscent of someone I know, and it makes me want to give him a hug.
The amount of effort that went into making each NPC unique and relatable in their own way is noticed and very much appreciated. There really is something for just about everyone here. Indeed, thank you, Subeta!

Yeah, the creativity on here when it comes to making interesting NPCs of all types is awesome :)

I love seeing a wide range of characters because it helps fuel my own inspiration for my books!
The revamps of the NPCs have been beyond excellent - I'm always impressed at both the quality of artwork and the uniqueness of each character in terms of physical characteristics, personal relationships, etc. I love that staff have taken the opportunity to expand character backstories and non-physical characteristics during the revamps. The art is lovely but it is the art + everything that we are getting to know about the characters in addition to the art that is making the revamps AMAZING ❤
