Best known as the singer from Stone Temple Pilots and Velvet Revolver, Scott Weiland has died yesterday, December 3. Sad sad news. STP were one of my favorite guilty pleasures in the mid 90's. Much much too young. Rest in peace and comfort to his friends and family.

Heard about this yesterday. I was really sad to hear of his passing. He lived a difficult life and battled many personal demons. I hope he has found peace he deserves and his loved ones are able to find peace as well

Just heard about this today, it's very sad news indeed. :(

I think the letter his ex-wife and teenage children wrote together is one of the most poignant things I've ever read from survivors of a family member who died of addiction.
