If you don't know what is going on I can briefly explain.
Just wanted to shed some light on the recent events in Chicago. Chicago has been one of the top cities in the country for high homocide rates. It has always been this way unfortunately. Statistically Chicago's death toll rate is higher than the soldiers fighting in Afghanistan. We have more killings/murders in our own country in one city than Afghanistan. Let that sink in.
I just find it difficult to swallow.
Facts -“Between 2003 and 2011, 4,265 people were murdered in the city of Chicago"
They actually have a movie out that I just saw the previews today called Chiraq. Its Here
How did you like the movie?
Have you seen any of Spike Lee's other films?

They had a high number in January of this year and February isn't looking much better. I keep up with the Chicago news because my husband is from there.
That's horrendous. :( I feel sad for the people living there. And honestly, I was thinking of visiting Chicago this summer to see the aquarium and stuff, but this is making me not want to. I'll bet it's doing the same for a lot of people, keeping tourists away. I'll have to check out that movie when I have the time.
