Hi! The point of this topic is to have a general discussion about this stuff. And if you or you know anybody with these abilities and want to share your stories.

So I'll start by saying that I've had paranormal experiences ever since I can remember. My closest friends know this stuff about me and they either worry about me or they poke fun about how I'm "haunted". I'm either reassuring people I'm doing okay or kinda laughing off the jokes.

This past August was the most terrifying experience I've ever had, at a friends house. They all know about Harvey. He's the entity occupying the home with them. He always does things around the house and it's always things that can't be explained otherwise. My experiences were drastically different though, and I've since told my friend sorry, but I'm never spending the night here again, lol. (sMail for details... cutting down wall of text)

The other thing I wanted to talk about was being psychic. Now, when I say this I don't mean I can just see the future all the time and know your destiny and all that bananas. But on occasion I do have a flash of something completely random in my mind while doing something completely unrelated to what I see. For example, the latest thing was a couple few weeks ago I was sitting in the living room watching some comedy and all of a sudden I couldn't see anything but the split second of what happened a few days later. What I saw was my cousin finding a black widow in his room (I didn't know where specifically), but it was still random and really specific. I thought it was really weird and didn't think much of it or that it would actually happen, but a few days later he came up to me with a squished black widow in a napkin he'd found in his dresser. The hairs just stood up all over but I didn't tell him about the 'vision'... he'd think I did something on purpose or something @ - @

The other thing that most commonly happens is that I always know who's going to call/text me and when. Even someone I haven't spoken to recently. That's certainly not as crazy as the black widow thing, but regardless it is a little strange.

EDITED TO ADD (just remembered): I once ran into a friend at Wal-Mart that I hadn't seen in years. For some reason she popped up in my mind a couple minutes before we got there, like she was all I could focus on. I hadn't thought about her in at least a year. I remember turning to my grandma and saying "I miss Brenda". Just before walking in, I hear my old friend yell my name lol. So weird. I was probably around 16 when this happened.

Disclaimer: I'm not here trying to convince any skeptics. I completely respect your beliefs and I just ask that you do the same. You are more than welcome to comment though, of course. I'd like to hear from both sides.

How about y'all? lol. :v

tl;dr: I've had weird paranormal stuff happen my whole life and recently having a few psychic things happening. (Edited to cut down wall of text some)

Oooh, I love topics like this.

I've also dealt with some paranormal things throughout my life. My whole family, mostly on my dad's side, seems to be pretty sensitive to things like this. I usually avoid talking about it though because no one believes us and thinks we're weird and crazy. haha

I've seen some apparitions before, and I won't bore you with the details unless you wanna know, but they've never actually done anything. I just see people that aren't really there sometimes, and I've only heard on speak once in my whole life, as far as I remember.

As far as premonitions go, I've had a few rare dreams come true, but mostly mundane stuff like conversations and taking tests. The only major thing I can think of, is that when I was a child, around 5 or 6, I would have very vivid and disturbing dreams of my mom dying or being killed. This went on for a while, until one day my mom had a fever, and I told her that she was really sick and needed to go to the doctor. For whatever reason, she listened to me, and they discovered that she actually had a bacterial infection in her heart, and she ended up needing a heart transplant. To this day, I think those dreams were trying to tell me that my mom was in danger, and she literally would have died if I didn't tell her to go to the doctor. Now, I don't know if that was paranormal or not, because I know that dreams mostly just tell us things we already know, so I might have sensed her sickness while I was awake and just didn't know it, but... who knows. lol

Now I'm the one rambling. haha

I totally understand being hesitant to talk about it! I am too because I don't want people to start avoiding me because I'm "crazy" or whatever they think. haha

Your experience with the misty entity sounds terrifying! I've been trying not to be so negative myself because I don't want to invite in more negative energy because I know how a lot of paranormal things like to latch onto that.

As for my stories, I only have a few that are interesting enough to be told. I'll put them in spoilers in case they end up being too long. lol

story 1 One happened to me at 3AM on Christmas morning in 2008. I was up late playing a new video game that I had got on Christmas Eve, even though my mom told me not to stay up. I was laying in bed, facing my bedroom door, when it opened slowly and a woman leaned in. I thought it was my mom because I didn't really look up for very long, but when she spoke I knew it wasn't. The woman said, "You should go to bed now." I looked up, and she disappeared into the hallway without closing my door, which is another hint that it wasn't my mom because she always closes the door behind her. I got up and looked out into the hall and saw nothing or no one, and never heard my parents' door open or close. In the morning, I asked my mom about it and she said it wasn't her.

When I had looked at it that night, the spirit didn't seem to have a face, so it really freaked me out. Later, I did some Google searching and found some info on a Japanese spirit called Noppera-bo, which are harmless, faceless ghosts that often impersonate people close to the victim, and I think that's what I saw. My dad's side of the family is from Japan, so it was an interesting coincidence that the spirit I saw was possibly something of Japanese origin.

story 2 This was around the same time as story 1. It was maybe May of the next year. I went on a trip with my middle school band to somewhere around Pismo Beach. I remember passing a tiny cemetery on the way to our hotel and a lot of kids made jokes about how the hotel was gonna be haunted because there was a cemetery. I don't even remember if the cemetery was very close to the hotel or not, but anyway...

That night, my friend and I were walking up the stairs to our room, and we turned down the hall and saw a kid standing at the end of the hall. He seemed kind of shadowy, but it was dark, so I didn't think much of it. He wasn't moving, and was facing away from us, but we thought it was our classmate, so we called out to him. The boy didn't move, but not even five seconds later, the guy we thought it was came up the stairs behind us and was like, "Hey did you guys call me? I was getting more towels from the lobby." We both jumped and freaked out, and looked back to the end of the hall and didn't see anyone there anymore. There was nowhere that the kid could have gone, so we know it wasn't someone playing a prank on us. We didn't see anything else weird for the rest of the trip, we were pretty freaked out for the rest of the night.

story 3 This story happened one summer in high school, with the same friend as story 2. We had gone to a party and my friend's church and her aunt was driving us home. My friend's little sister and her friend were also in the car. We were on a really spooky back road, and it was super dark. We live in the country, so it wasn't out of the ordinary for us to drive on scary roads like this. Everything was pretty normal, until the radio suddenly stopped playing and we saw a bright flash of light ahead of us on the road. We were really confused, but her aunt kept driving. Then, more and more bright flashes of light started appearing all around us in the fields and by this point we all started freaking out and screaming. Her aunt sped up to get away from whatever was happening, but one of the lights encircled the whole car and we couldn't see anything for a split second. After that, it all just stopped and the radio came back on. I was literally shaking after that happened, and I had even called my mom while all of it was happening and she heard all of us screaming hysterically over the phone.

It was completely clear that night, so the chance of it being some kind of freak lightning storm are pretty low. My dad suggested it might have been some kind of electric arc happening between the power lines out there, which seems more likely, but it still left a lot of questions, like why the radio stopped working, or why it went around the whole car. I still don't really have an explanation for that night, but my friend brings it up sometimes as something to laugh about, so I know I'm not crazy because she remembers it too.

Wow I am so glad I found this post! And for the record I loved reading it all, I didn't think it was long at all, I love having things to read and interesting stories.

Until very recently I was in a very popular Paranormal Investigation group here in Kentucky, so I've seen and felt some very interesting things. There are many skeptics out there and that is okay, but I can't tell you how many skeptics came to this ghost walk that we held where they were able to use our equipment. When they caught things on tape or when their phones got a picture of something that couldn't be explained. Or when the room where a man died from an injury via a horse kicking him in the back, when they went in that room they'd start to feel physical pain, and of course we never told them about that.

I try to help people as much as I can when they come to me, but sadly I've never had dreams or had any special foresight like you do And you saved your moms life...you are amazing.

I don't think people will start avoiding you over all this. They should feel blessed to be around somebody with gifts like this. I think you two are really awesome.

THAT'S SPOOPY AND I LOVE IT. The most paranormal things that has happened to me are weird shadows passing by in the kitchen (my room is right in front of the little night light). And like, no one sees them but me.

I've had a few dreams come true myself.A few nights before one of the majore tornadoes hit(either Joplin or Moore I believe) I had a dream that a midwestern town got flattened by an EF5 tornado.I know it sounds completely crazy and insane, but I did, and I still recall how realistic the dream was.It was creepy.

My grandmother passed in july and the night she died, we went to the nursing home where she passed, we went in and sat beside her, and I kept feeling like she wasn't dead, I kept expecting her to sit up and look at me.It was creepy, it felt like she was still there.

My co-workers signed a grief card for me, and every time I try to set it next to the dollar my grandma gave me, it keeps falling off the shelf, eve if its placed away from the edge and no air on.

And then a couple of years ago, I had purchased some old civil war bullets as an xmas gift for my nephew, shortly after we brought them home from Gettysburg, strange stuff happened, a empty can(which wasn't on the edge) fell off the shelf, and one day when i was watching tv, I could have sworn I saw a civil war soldier walk into the tv, I didn't get a glimpse of his face, only saw from the beck down, but he was in confederate clothing.

Wow those were crazy stories! The first one was especially creepy. I prolly woulda pissed myself lmao. As many times as I've had things here and there happen to me, sometimes there are really terrifying things and I'm not sure how I haven't had a heart attack from some of them lol. And that last story is so weird! It kinda reminded me of a story I heard of someone driving down a long dark country road (nothing around of course), when they saw a bright light that seemed to be flashing pretty sporadically way down the road. Just to the point where you couldn't see beyond that distance from where they were. By the time they reached the weird light thing it was gone completely. Nothing there at all. Really weird.

The last story reminds me of all those crazy alien stories lol. I mean, I believe there is other life out there but I'm not sure it's what Hollywood creates P: What a weird happening though. Glad y'all were okay!

Paranormal investigation groups sound so fascinating but I worry either I'd be targeted for just something or idk, summon something lol. It's so weird. When I was younger and only just started having these things happen, I didn't think to look into it. I mean come on, I was about 5 and who would have believed me? I would have been told I have a great imagination and to stop watching scary shows if I am lol. Yeah, I can't say I've had dreams about any of this stuff yet. Honestly, I hope I don't. It would be so stressful for me I think. Especially since I already have wild and scary dreams about people I know. I'm not sure if I'd be able to tell the two apart sometimes. The random split second visions I have when I'm awake are pretty rare, so I usually ignore them. Like I said, they don't happen often enough for me to put it together at the time. Like I could be seeing/sensing something that'll happen. I didn't say anything to anybody about the widow thing at first, but I just felt it was so weird I had to tell /someone/. So several hours later I told my cousin (his sister... we're pretty much best friends) about it and she knows how I got this weird stuff and all. Her response was just "whoooaaa... really?!" cause she knows I don't out of the blue make something crazy up lol. It freaked her and I both out.

Oh maan that's even creepy though! And frustrating when others can't see what you're talking about. .-.

Wow some interesting stories! This is why I'm cautious about antique stuff lol. They could bring out residual hauntings and from what you described, it sounds like that might be it?

I'll have to share some of my stories in a bit... right now my ativan is making me so tired I need to lay down lol -_-

We actually told a lot of people who wanted to be in a research group not to do it. It was very dangerous. Things never followed me home thankfully but it did to three of our member. They had to be very forceful and tell them "This is MY house, you are not welcome here. Leave."

There are so many things in this world we don't understand, and some of those can be very beautiful or very frightening. For you I would stay away. You seem far too sensitive and aware. They'd easily make contact, and some that are not so nice...well who knows. You never want to put yourself in unnecessary risk.

I think about this haunted bridge that we went to. Went three times, first times it was great but we forgot our equipment since we were just scoping the place. Second time we got a bad feeling. It wasn't like the first time when everything was just all hunky dory. There was a thickness in the air. We didn't get out of the car. It'd already latched on. The spirit box was talking away, I felt the feeling of sadness. And fear. We made the decision to leave (it was only us two at the time not the whole group) and we told it we were leaving and that it was to stay behind, as we went over the bridge we said goodbye. I felt a heaviness lift off of me but that sadness stayed for a while. I cried a little. Whatever happened there is strong. That presence told us goodbye on the spirit box as well. We felt it leave the car. I won't forget that night.

Yeah, my first thought about my last story was "Omg aliens" too. haha I don't really believe in aliens as the way Hollywood portrays them either. I definitely do not doubt that there is more life out there in the universe, but I don't really think there's anything out there capable of coming down here and abducting people and animals. lol

And as for my first story, it does seem super scary, but I actually wasn't that scared by it! I got a weird feeling after the woman left my doorway and I got some chills when my mom confirmed it wasn't her, but overall I could tell the spirit didn't really mean any harm. Heck, it was probably looking out for me since it told me to go to sleep, and I totally did go to bed after that happened. lol

Aww, thank you. I don't think it was really too amazing though. I'm greatful for whatever caused me to have those dreams and the foresight to tell her to go to the doctor, but it's really nothing too amazing in my eyes! ^-^

Yeah, I'm cautious usually as well. He's not bothering me, occassionally I get the feeling of being watched or objects being misplaced, but I don't feel threatened in anyway.

When I was in Gettysburg, I was staying at this hotel, I do ghost hunting myself(I have my own equipment and all) and I was coming downstairs from the upstairs room and something or someone pushed me, I went tumbling all the way down.

My nephew got very aggressive for some reason, like he kept saying he wanted to kill people or to punch them in the face.Something he never would do.I don't know why he got like that, but it was scary..In fact during our whole trip, everyone seemed more irritated and stressed.

And then I when I was doing an exlusive investigation of a home in gettysburg, I was down in the basement, and my flash light stopped working.I shook it and was like "What the heck is wrong with this thing?" lol and then I heard my sister say "Autumn's here" I went to the next room and I said "Yep" but she wasn't there, nobody was there.I ran out as fast as I could and as soon as I got outside, my flash light came back on.Shortly after, I started feeling sick and had to go outside one of the lead investigators came out and asked if I was okay, and he sat with me until I felt better.

Here in my hometown I went on a ghost tour and we were at one of the haunted locations, I tried to get some pictures, but my screen wouldn't work.after we left, it came back on and I had a lot of orbs and strange red streaks bolting out of the house.

When I was about 2 years old, my grandmother would baby sit me. There was a big doll house in the back bedroom I really liked playing with and one day when my mom came to pick me up, I told her all about this guy who played dolls with me. Her and my grandmother just stared at me and my grandmother finally asked me what the man looked like. I described my grandfather to a T. He passed about 4 years before I was born. Apparently the back room had been his man cave before he died. Neither of them were very surprised because it's something would have done with any of the grandkids. I don't remember it but I believe it happened.

OMFG I had an experience very similar to this! The summer after I graduated high school (02) my friend and I were driving at night in the outskirts of our hometown, smoking cigarettes and just talking. Suddenly there was a flash of pure white light to our right on the horizon. There was nothing but farm land and the river that way. The radio turned to static for a few seconds.

Then a few seconds after that there was an even brighter flash of white light that lit up the whole sky. The radio went to static again but this time for 20-30 seconds. It was terrifying. We turned around and drove straight to her house. Never found out what that was.

more paranormal experiences My aunt passed away December 2005. A few years after that I was playing Subeta (yes seriously lol) and I a very strong sensation that she was standing over my left shoulder watching me play. She was disabled so was online a lot playing games and things like that, and I always thought she would have liked this site. So I was silently showing her how to play.

It was very surreal but at the same time nothing felt out of the ordinary. Just that someone was standing over me shoulder and we were having a conversation. I was not drunk or high or sleepy. It was the afternoon. After a minute I kind of came out of it and was like wtf. It was so real and I know it was my aunt coming to visit me.

Then a few years ago I was driving home from picking my then newborn daughter up at my mom's after work. I was so tired after a long day and fell asleep. Suddenly it felt like someone blew gently in my face. I didn't feel a breeze but just the sensation of someone doing it. I woke up just as I was about to hit a car in the turning lane. I was able to swerve back into my lane just in time. I believe it was my aunt watching over me.

Ahh, that last story gives me chills! I would probably cry if something like that were to happen to me. Your first story is really sweet though. I bet the spirits in the graveyard were thankful that you took the time to honor and visit them!

That's crazy that you have a similar experience! Everything out on the road that I had the experience on is farmland too. It's mostly corn fields and a few dairies, and nothing else. I'm glad someone shares an experience with me though, so I'm even more reassured that I'm not totally insane. haha I'm really glad that your aunt was protecting you that day in the car. That's a wonderful thing to know that she's watching over you.

That story reminded me of another experience, but this happened more to my mom than to me.

SPOILER (click to toggle) Every year for Christmas, my entire family would go to my great grandma's house to celebrate, eat dinner, open gifts, etc. It was a tradition that I know made her really happy because it's one of the only times she would get to see all of us together. Every year, she would give each of us a card with a $10 bill in it. She passed away some years ago, now. It was maybe 2009 or so; I don't remember for sure. Anyway, she passed away right around Thanksgiving, so we didn't get to spend Christmas with her that year. However, on Christmas morning, my mom went outside to let the dog go to the bathroom, and she found a $10 bill nestled in the dirt underneath her little flag that said "Merry Christmas."

Now, it could've been a coincidence. The bill could have tumbled down the street into our yard, or a stranger could've put it there to spread some Christmas cheer, but the coincidence was too strong. My mom believes that this was my great grandma giving us her final Christmas present before moving on.

@ Lady_Rika Yes, I'd say I am really sensitive, in all aspects of life, really lol. I think that does make me vulnerable and an easy target. Sometimes my cousin and I do go out to places known to be haunted, but we never venture too far in... She's too scared and I'm too worried I'll bring something home -__- lol. That story about the bridge is so creepy but sad! :c

@ Arkham Yeah, I think there's life out there somewhere. But I can't imagine that even if there was, they could travel so far to get here. That's... impossible. But I don't know... I hear a lot of stuff about space that seems incredibly science fiction but people are serious about and are studying to see if these things can be done o__o I find outer space fascinating, but I am terrified of it. Also, I don't know how you were okay with that faceless lady and was able to sleep. If I saw anything with no face I'd faint and prolly die lolol. But it sounds great that you were comfortable with it!

I also think they were just happy to have a visitor and one that would care and bring flowers to graves I didn't have any connection to. It was one of the happiest and most peaceful times of my childhood. I'd actually say it was. My childhood was terrible lol.

Yes, thankfully I was able to finish typing it all now!

And in response to your last story: Aww, that sounds so sweet. I think it definitely could have been your great grandma. Someone I know has had similar experiences and fully believes it's his mom leaving things here and there to help him when he's at his worst (sad/broke). He says it hasn't happened for several years now, but for a while it was something that happened often. .-.

@ Springfairy556 That gave me major goosebumps! If anything got that aggressive with me and pushed me down stairs I'd be like nope nope noooooope B Y E! lol Yeah, that whole experience you had sounds really scary x__x

@ Tardis Aww, that sounds so sweet! I wouldn't doubt it!

@ horizon I've seen something like that really similar but the entire sky was lighting up a bright green. It was actually a couple black fridays ago and my cousin and I were just driving around to see the madness lol. When we told people about it they just said it was some thing (I can't for the life of me remember what they're called right now) exploding. Idk, I find what my family said to be believable, but we're not in a rural area at all and idk, you and seem to have stories that sound more explainable. (p.s.- not discrediting either story) EDIT: I meant couldn't be explained -__- sorry

I loved reading everyone's stories! I nearly regret sharing most of mine since most people on subeta don't know me well, and only a few know me in person. I know the few that do know me well, as well as irl family and friends do believe me. They know I'm not crazy, just a little awkward and weird. But nothing to put a straitjacket on me for, lol. I don't hear voices and am not a paranoid person. This isn't some mental condition causing this stuff.

the only physic thing ever to happen to me was that I had a flash of my friend in front of the traffic lights for the pedestrians path and saying 'nah it's fine' and going across and getting hit by a blue car killing her instantly. sounds cliché I know. a few days later as we were about to cross the pedestrian-path I snapped back to reality from daydreaming and saw that we were at 'the spot'. believe it or not, my friend exclaimed it 'it's fine' and starts walking across. I grab her by the backpack and the next moment a blue car comes speeding across. it freaked me out and her too.

I've had several weird things happen to me while growing up. When I was seven I saw a demon at the foot of my bed, the black scorch mark in my carpet was proof enough that I didn't dream it up.

When I moved into the country I saw shadows walk up and down the road and when I was outside, they stopped and stared at me. When I was in the woods chopping wood for our fire place, red eyes seemed to float and chase me. My dad saw them and he would never let me into the woods again.

When I lived in my college city in an apartment, a creepy, ghastly woman was in the corner of my room. I ended up very, very sick after I saw her. A friend came and blessed the house and he was scared of the woman who nearly sucked my life away.

In the apartment I live now, I've felt hands grab my legs and there has been no one in my room.

I seem to draw these kinds of things to me. I've been told that I'm an old soul. Maybe someone or something is trying to get my attention.
