So, anyone score anything worthwhile on Black Friday. I usually skip it because I'm not a fan of the crowds, but I just bought the playstation 4 uncharted bundle on Amazon. $299.00(326 with shipping), should arrive by December 1 since I have Prime. Also, yes I bought if for myself but if my brother wants it, I'll probably give it to him as his christmas gift.
I actually avoided Black Friday this year. There was a HP laptop for $250 I was tempted to get a Walmart, but decided that I didn't feel like fighting the crowd. My current laptop still works anyway.
I skip visiting the Brick and Mortar stores too, but there was a lot of deals online so I on-line shopped instead. Crowds that dense and huge usually make me nervous, and the one time I remember visiting stores on Black Friday physically I ultimately decided it just wasn't worth it.
I used to plan out my Black Friday and go out every year and it was actually really fun.
This year I had to work today (4:30-9:00PM) so I didn't go out early or anything. I went to a few stores just to people watch and get a couple of random things. Last night after work though, I went to an early sale at Kohl's and scored a couple of really nice pairs of boots. Both were originally $70 but I got them for $15 and $20 so I was epically happy. The one pair I had planned on going to get because I'd been wanting them since they came out. The other pair is for my mom since she wanted a brown pair of boots. I gave them to her already because I'm horrible at waiting, lol, and I wanted her to enjoy them now.
My new boots:
I couldn't find a pic of the ones I bought my mom, but they're ankle-height, brown suede-like material, and faux-shearling folded over on the ankle with a brass buckle on the shearling part.
I always skip Black Friday. Crowded stores and social anxiety disorder don't mix
I've never done Black Friday and I can't say I ever plan on doing it. It's just not worth the crowds and stress for me. I am super excited for cyber Monday deals though. 8) Can't wait to buy Christmas gifts in my jammies.
a cool but expensive Haunter hoodie i wanted was only 20% off in an online store. did i buy it anyway like a sucker? of course. bit still... –_–
I bought a shirt. And that's pretty much it ..
I bought a jacket and a sweater from the store I work at before I clocked in because it was 50% off. That's it. lol
Walmart had a really good deal on cookware this year, which was something I was super interested in, but there was no way in hell I was stepping foot near that place. I'll find a similar deal again eventually, I'm sure.
I'm pretty much in a food coma for several hours after Thanksgiving, so my fat butt is completely passed out on the floor in my aunt's house during every Black Friday.
I'm classy like that.

This was the very first time I went Black Friday shopping...but I bought nothing bahaha. My bf's sister and mom invited me to go with them and I thought why the heck not.
However, I bought some clothes earlier this week that were on sale at the mall and saw that they were having the same exact deals for Black Friday. Soooo I did my Black Friday shopping last Sunday xD
Black Friday... no. I went to Walmart a few years ago for BF, and it was the worst. No parking in any spots or on the sides of the lot. Half the store was literally packed with people (no room ANYWHERE). The main walkways in the other half were like rush hour in a huge city. Everyone was SUPER RUDE. I can't do that again. My anxiety got so bad I almost collapsed.
I would much rather find deals after the year ends and online. BF through the middle of January is my hibernation time, in which I refuse to go to any retail store unless absolutely necessary.
I've been lucky that most of my friends are out of state so a lot of the gifts I'm buying are being sent to out of state addresses and it's just a lot easier to buy them online and have them shipped because I don't have to go through the hassle of addressing and shipping them at the post office.
For my in-state I've mainly been buying on-line as well but mostly because I'm lazy, don't have a car in NY(yet) and just prefer shopping on-line since I'm not a fan of the holiday crowds. I did buy a NY friend of mine a DJ Pon plush from Build a Bear because it was 40% off and she's obsessed with pretty much anything My Little Pony.
So Pink, but they look pretty waterproof and warm though. I'm sorry to hear that. Understandable though why you wouldn't want to get anywhere near stores during the holiday period though.
I have never done any of the Black Friday craziness.
But I did go out shopping Friday afternoon and today just to get started on x-mas shopping. I have no idea what to get folks, so I better start somewhere and figure it out.
In my travels I actually did more me shopping - I got a wallet, purse, a necklace, x2 skirts on clearance, and a sweater. None of these items were over $16. Target had a 40% off all clothes and Old Navy had I think 30% off store wide this weekend. So I got a few bucks off here there on the necklace and a skirt I got as a gift for someone.
But I really don't go and focus on all the "deals" because I'm not in the market for big electronics and TVs, LOL! I saw too my gimmicks today with the "buy 3 get 3 free" deal in exactly 2 different stores. They want you to spend more to get these deals, and just for me personally and how I'm gifting and what they had to offer, it wasn't worth it.
I try and go to shopping plazas and strip malls to stay away from the craziness and the high prices of the malls.
I'm Canadian but we have finally caught onto 'have the sale BEFORE Christmas' idea, thank goodness. I bought a Pusheen plush for a steep discount. Depending on when it comes in it'll be for a group friend gift or me. My boss bought me a killer monitor for my office though. :o 27-inch edge to edge LCD with built in speakers and it's all fancy touch 'button' control.
- That is lucky. XD Ooooh, 40% off for a pony at Build a Bear!?! That's an awesome deal!
I live in Orlando near the super touristy area, so it's super crowded EVERYWHERE. Everywhere that is a reasonable distance from me is also super crowded. There's this one particular mall that has car lines that stretch something like a mile from the mall to the highway during the holidays. If I was in a smaller town, I would maybe try to grab some deals, but still not on Black Friday. That will always remain a no to me.
It's Build-a-Bear's cyber Monday deal. :D
all of their plushes are 40% off. 16 bucks without shipping, 22 with shipping.
