After a handful of items, he'll become unlocked as a battle challenger (: He should leave you to your pyromania ( (; ) after that, even if you don't battle him!

You'll unlock the Bandit as a battle challenger after a some tries, and it won't steal burnables anymore.

(Then you toss the thieving Jollin in the fire and feed it to the Red Rreign for its evil deeds)
