Yeah. It sucks. I'm working concierge at an assisted living place like always but today I just hate everyone. People are just being such assholes. It's all 'oh haha you have to work today HAPPY THANKSGIVING' and I just want to tell them off but I have to smile and be happy and it's hard because I am NOT happy. At all. I have a headache and I just want to go home and snuggle my kittycats. The residents are being annoying and the families are being assholes and my coworkers are fine, but I don't get to see much of them because they're all running around. Fuck my life. Thank God I have tomorrow off or I'd probably die.
-_-
I worked last Thanksgiving. I had it off this year, but I'll be working on Christmas.
I worked yesterday night, but I got paid 1.5x so it's all good with me. lol People weren't as rude as I thought they'd be either.
I'm about to go back into work again though and I'm still super beat from last night. ;^;
Ahh, that's too bad about your paycheck. I think my paycheck is pretty much gonna be the same too because I also worked less this week. Knowing that I was getting paid extra still makes me feel better though. lol
Today was crazy, but I survived! It took me 20 minutes just to find a place to park though, and a lot of my coworkers didn't even bother parking in the mall lot and just parked at neighboring shopping centers. My store was super busy, but we did really well and made lots of money.
I had worked Thursday night at 8pm to 4:30am. It wasn't too bad, kind of the typical normal thing that it has been in the past.
I worked in food service. Pretty sure I didn't get paid extra. Some random dude told me to quit yawning and smile, I had to go off to the side so he wouldn't see me cussing. People telling strangers to smile have no concept of empathy are the worst breed of scum to walk the planet.
i work part-time in customer service, got paid double, and only had to answer less than 40 calls in 4 hours (most of the calls are 1-2 minutes long) so i didn't have a bad time. 8^)
