I am so damn tired. I got maybe three hours of sleep last night. I think I didn't sleep because I started taking this new Slimquick stuff (powder that you dissolve in water) to help me lose weight and you're not supposed to take it within 4-5 hours of bed, which my dumb ass did. So I lay in bed, totally awake, cat beside me. I couldn't get comfortable and every time I turned over, my cat would get up, walk over me, and lay down again in front of my face because that's where she has to lay. I don't have the heart to kick her out of bed because she's so damn cute and I love her. Now I'm at work, sitting at my desk, totally ready to fall asleep on my keyboard. I'm debating on whether to eat lunch when I have my break or just set my alarm and take a nap. It's only a half hour though so I'd probably just feel worse. I'm so tempted to see if someone else can come in for the second half of my shift, but A) I want the money too much, B) My boss is out sick so I don't want to bother her, and C) I don't think the other two girls who do this job would come in anyways. Ugh. I feel like shit. So, so tired. I think I'm typing this just to keep myself awake. I just want to crawl under my desk and go to sleep. If it weren't for the fact that I really, really want to lose weight and I think this stuff is actually working for once, I would take the rest of it outside and burn it.

So...spoon-feeding time? Do you/have you taken a 'diet supplement/pill' before? Did it work? What was it? How do you keep yourself awake when you have to stay awake at work/class/etc.? Should I try to get someone to come in for me? But I want the moneeeeey.

Oh man that doesn't sound good D:

The only pills I took before were ketones to help my metabolism, but I don't really think that slimming pills really do much good anyway because if you're eating healthy and exercising (losing weight is mainly about constant exercise with a clean eating habit but even in some cases you can eat junk and lose weight by exercise!). Staying awake isn't too much of an issue for me, but if it's for assignments that are due and i've stupidly left it to the last minutes I grab a quick 20 minute nap every couple of hours just to "refresh" myself! :) If you take a nap and still woozy after, definitely go home and get someone to cover, but if you think you can continue it might be best to.

I don't believe in "magical pills/powder" that are supposed to make you lose weight like it's nothing. I used to take iron and B12 supplements but that's pretty much it. As a college student, midterms and finals week/month are terrible. Even if I get enough sleep (8 hours or less) the workload is draining and heavy. I learned how to take "flash nap" because my body won't nap even if I'm dead tired. So I close my eyes and chill for 15 to 20 minutes and I feel much more better after.
