I can't seem to get more than one or two rooms in every time I play recently which is quite frustrating. I played crypts a lot (I have had a few weeks break from playing it) and I swear it was not this difficult before. Is it glitched or is it meant to be like this? It surely can't just be my bad luck.

For a while, they nerfed the Crypts by letting you skip a room, and I think it's been changed back since (ie, you have to play every room, so the chances of winning are lower).

- I remember that happening and it did make it a lot easier to advance through the crypts. However before that temporary change it was never this difficult to advance.

Ah, okay. To be honest I really only played the Crypts while they were shortened, so I guess I hadn't noticed a difference.

There seems to be some disagreement of what 'nerfed' means.

The rewards for doing Crypts have not changed.

Room skipping is still a thing with the Crypts, it was deliberately left in and I got a skip today. I myself have gotten quite far, several times within one of the end, since the skips were added. So it is easier to complete the Crypts. If you've been having a harder time, you've just been unlucky.

It's just luck. I made it one room before the end, sometime this past week and have made it not quite that far but 4-5 rooms in recently.

- Ooh so close but so far! I am so shocked by my bad luck I keep (pretty much) failing on the first door. I think it might be punishing me for not playing it for so long.

Aww :c I definitely have a few times a day where I only make it to the first or second room (I'm online a ridiculous amount so I play a lot), I always have though :c

it's completely random, there's not really a way to make it easier or harder beyond the room skips. i've never gotten to the end, i usually only get 2 or 3 rooms in (and in fact often lose on the first or second room). then again, i don't play it super frequently.

I think I have established that it is my bad luck, and that staff have not made any changes to the crypts, so this thread can be locked.
