She seemed rather down. "Congratulations to all you returning Ravenclaws for winning the House Cup last term. New students, I hope you learn from their example." Her eyes darted around the room to find the littler third years. She tutted. "Remember, to enter the Common Room, you must answer a riddle. There are no shortcuts! Dormitories are just up those stairs there." Without another word, she stormed out of the Ravenclaw Common Room.

Roman donned his most startled expression and stood up. "I'm a ghost?! Oh my god! How-did-I-die?" He nearly shook to express his "utter bewilderment" but stopped short when he recalled that long-ago icy feeling he received from ghosts. Instead, he gave Gaia an ironic look before sitting back down. "No worries; it happens," he offered uncomfortably, allowing the joke to dissipate.

He slumped back in the chair and looked upon the plate of food with regret. "At least you can eat," he muttered to the fox. He noticed her eyes follow his then move back toward the plate, almost as though she could understand what he had said.

Gaia looked puzzled for a moment and then made up her mind. () "I like you! I'm sorry I was a little surprised. Ghosts seem to have a wisdom that others do no possess. Maybe we can do homework together." She finished with a smile.

"It's just...this is new for me. I'm trying to find some humor in it." He straightened up and extended his hand to Gaia, afraid she wouldn't accept the gesture.

"I'm Roman. That sounds good... as long as you're willing to flip the book pages." He smirked slightly.

() Gaia giggled when she tried to shake Roman's hand. "You remind me of the ghost in the forest back home. Mom calls her a sassy forest fairy, because she is quick on her responses. I think you will do great in our house! Of course I'll turn the pages! However I will need a look out when I sneak into the kitchens for midnight snacks!" Gaia laughed and looked knowingly at Roman. "Is it weird to go through walls? I imagine it is kind of dusty!" She sat cross-legged on the floor and pulled an acid pop form her bag and started unwrapping it.

The fox's ears twitched at the crinkling of a wrapper and she cocked her head to the side. Momentarily distracted from the meat, she padded over to and stared intently at the sweet in the girl's hand.

() Gaia noticed the little fox and got some candy from her bag. "do you like hard candies? Who do you belong to?"

The fox made a row rumbling noise deep in her throat and pawed at 's arm impatiently.

Gaia giggled at the curious fox... "you are a sweet one!" She grabbed two hard candies form the bag and opens her hands "Would you like cherry or orange? Maybe you can have both!" she said while petting the fox's head.

The fox seemed to be debating for a moment but when she felt the hand on her head, she rolled her eyes in annoyance before batting the cherry candy out of the girl's hand with her paw.

Her hair had grown, and she had found a new way to do her makeup. She was excited to reveal her new look. Also, she had decided that she'd start going by her middle name instead of her first name. Her middle name was Charlotte, after her grandmother. She swept gracefully over to the group of students (and one ghost!) who had already gathered in the common room and said, "Hi everyone! You can call me Charlotte, or Char, from now on! I've decided to go by my middle name. How was everyone's break?"

((I hope everyone is okay with me changing my character a bit! She is a part-Veela now, so I wanted to change her appearance a bit. I also was sick of going by my RL name in the RP, so I decided to changer her name. Still the same character though!))

The fox was trying to pull the wrapper off with its teeth, the candy pressed against the floor by her paw. Her ears twitched at the newcomer's arrival.

"CHAR! You look amazing! I love what you have done with your hair! What made you change your hair?" Gaia looked at the fox and giggled... () "you know I can open both candies for you right?" Then looked up at her friend "You look fantastic! My break was a lot of fun. It is always nice to go back to the owls and the forest. How was yours?"

Char's attention was suddenly drawn to the adorable fox on the floor next to her friends. She considered reaching down to pet it, but thought better of it. The fox looked quite feisty, wrestling with a candy wrapper.

"I don't know what made me change it! I just wanted something fresh I guess! I see you've changed the color of your's, it looks amazing!! My break was great. I spent most of it riding my horses, and relaxing with my brother's in the countryside. It was quite lovely."

The fox yipped as she successfully worked the sweet free of its wrapper and popped into her mouth. She sucked on it for a moment then her nose wrinkled, ears going flat against her head. She sat back on her haunches and then started to grow. Her fur receded and muggle clothes took their place, muzzle and ears shrinking, paws becoming hands and feet.

Rin sucked on the candy again and nodded in satisfaction. "That's better," she announced. "Fox taste buds are rubbish sometimes."

() Gaia watched in amazement and clapped excitedly. "RIN! That is amazing! You make a super cute fox! I guess I shouldn't pet you then?" she added with a giggle.

() "Oh that does sound lovely and fun! I did miss Hogwarts... and you guys! It is not the same when I am away. I even missed solving riddles every day. My door is just a regular door at home!"

Rin jumped slightly in surprise and leaned back. "I don't mind," she said after a moment. "Although it's unwise to pet an animal you don't know without permission. ...Even if they are cute. Which, I take it, I am?"

Char giggled at Rin's response to the candy. "I wondered how a cherry candy would taste to a fox!" She couldn't help but admire her ability to change form just like that. How cool would that be!

Laughing, Char said, "I don't know if I missed the riddles all that much! BUT, I did miss you guys! Little brother's only can provide so much entertainment!"

"Terrible," she deadpanned. "I do not recommend it."

() "I pet all animals." Gaia grinned. "Mostly I can tell when they are friendly. I just need to remember some can be people too! You are a super cute fox with a sweet tooth!" -giggles- handing her friend some more candies.

() "I know what you mean! I don't have a little brother but if it weren't for our owls I would have gone crazy!" Gaia continued to browse on the magazine she had opened and while eating her acid pop.
