This may have been said before, but a skeletal pet color would be amazing! I ran into this image today and thought, "Hmmm, why don't we have skeletal pets yet on Subeta?" I then looked at my own pets and realized how great they would look with just skeletons. I realize there is graveyard and some of those have skeletal views, but they are mainly zombies to me. The skeletons in those few pets are amazing and I'd love to see other pets as just pure skeletons. The unique pet anatomy here would create amazing skeletal designs that I think would be fabulous and it is a waste to not be able to take advantage of this. Maybe a name like "Fossilized" could be used for the color?
Here is the image mentioned and a couple other cool skeleton examples:

I'm still half asleep and having a hard time typing right now so I'll edit this post later with more detail and maybe even some sketches of mine of some pets.

Pets you should sketch in this color because I'm interested to see what they'd look like
(Still prefer an experiment because I would literally need all of the skeletal pets)
An idea for the illumis and bumbus:
Cadogre and endeavor are both animal-esque and could have a metalic skeleton based off of that.
Dillema could have a skeletal system based off of a poseable plushie:

Yes please ;^; I would settle for an experiment but I would love this as a pet color
Also, the Harvester?
Support support suppooooooooooort
it would be amazing if the ghostly and harvester had their "mantles" made of bones, after all those aren't clothing... I guess
The ghostly is a spirit that found some clothes. If it weren't for the clothing they would be invisible.
A harvester can be a straight-up skeleton. If they choose to stylize it and not make it human, that's up to them. A ghostly can be like a normal old ghostly, but with a skeleton pattern on its clothing. Like it found someones Morostide costume.
I should probably sketch that idea. Actually QUESTION SORRY. Would you say that the Harvester is kinda humanoid under its hood ? Or would it be similar to another pet that has since passed ? Is that something that can be clarified when it gets its own 'pedia page ? I need to be able to suggest something properly if it were done like a skeleton. Wait, I'm supposed to argue against it because I couldn't possibly own all of them + most of the sweethearts + other colors. QnQ
- gosh, I can't just go around answering eternal mysteries like that! The Harvester wears a hood for a reason - no one should ever see what is beneath it, or know the horrors of it. It's best to disguise itself in darkness to save everybody else.
Also, just as a comment to this colour suggestion - drawing anatomically correct skeletons in Subeta style (that is, very detailed) is extremely time consuming and difficult. There may be people out there that excel at it and can get it done quickly enough to fit in our budget, but we learned from steamwork that putting so much time into so much detail doesn't work out great for us in the long run. I can't speak for the entire future of Subeta, of course, but I know that at this time this isn't a colour we are able to consider :(
By that argument this concept can't happen. :p Like if we're not allowed to see under their hoods, a skeletal version wouldn't really be doable.
I will hold out hope for one (or two) skeletal experiments ! I know those can be hard still. I remember reading Bean lament about changing the pose/etc on Lich Lord because it wouldn't fit right, and that's a bigger image. A skeleton experiment that looks like it's a jumble of different pets would be aaaawesome. As would a cutesy humanoid skeleton, like the Skelli-Butt. I'd obviously need them.
- I love that compromise! One or two skeletal experiments would definitely be possible rather than nearly 70 pets! And a little biped skeletal goblin baby oh my gosh :o
Crosses fingers Don't forget that experiment pets caN BE "OUT OF SEASON" LIKE RIGHT NOW HAPPY FIRESIDE TO MUERTE. Mostly because I need them now. Calavera has been waiting for art. He's why I keep pushing for a skeletal experiment with multiple heads/body parts XD
- hahahahah, NOTED! Although these things take time I AM NOT SURE THIS CAN BE DONE FOR FIRESIDE
WHY WHY I CRIE I CRIE ALL DA TEAR. Nah, I know and right now you lot are slammed with these holidays. And if someone chooses to do something crazy detailed, it'll be a while ahahaha BUT THIS MAKES ME HOPEFUL. I may not have to settle for a graveyard harvester (which is lovely anyhow and I will most likely own it later on... as I have far too many harvesters that need coloring)
Arbor's Graveyard Legeica was amazing the first time I saw it, but something that anatomically correct and that detailed takes FOREVER to draw.
As a reference, I'm only referencing her because she's the last former staff member I remember who drew a skeleton pet with the intention of having it based on anatomically correct form.
It's a lot of detail to put into a rather small canvas, but it can be done. It's going to take a while though, and I can imagine why staff would balk at the idea due to the amount of detail it would ensue.
I'd love one or two skeletal Pets, Experiments would be great because I see that drawing anatomically correct skeletons can be very tricky and time consuming, I guess it would take forever to get all Pets in that color.
Personally I'm in love with something like this one. If we'd have something similar to this, I'd have one. X'D
I vote for a skull inside the cloak (with skeletal arms of course)
Don't we have a skeleton experiment now?
