Did the payout for quests go up recently? For the first time in the history of time here, I am motivated to do ALL THE QUESTS. Which is freaking amazing. Thanks!

I noticed this as well, however I believe this must be a glitch. I stopped doing them for now. I do not know if there will be consequences for taking advantage of a bug, but don't want to take that chance...

This is not a glitch. Keith changed the payouts today as mentioned here yesterday. I doubt they will be this good for too long though, they will most likely be adjusted again within the next few days.

They are. Keith gathers data and knows how much sP goes out every day. Once he looks at it I'm sure they will be adjusted. He already knows they were on the high side, so it is just a work in progress.

The payouts are just temporary. Keith has given us a gift. You'll notice though the prizes are quite low. We're going to see a big difference in our shop profits if all we stock are quest prizes, but that's fine. You have to laugh when you read comments that howl "it's not enough" then shriek "it's too much"! These inflated payouts are just for a day or 2, so let's enjoy them before we get back to reality.

STAFF: PLEASE leave the quests just like they are. Please. The payouts are now perfect. Not too high, not too low. Everything's worth doing now and I'm happy again. I know this is supposedly just temporary, but let's make it permanent okay? I like permanent - sP makes me happy. And happy is good.

Quest payouts perfect? They were surreal in a really bad way almost like questgate from ages ago. I made almost 2mil of the wiz and doing whatever quests shinwa needed me to do. 2mil in 10 minutes. sp shouldn't be made this easy or it becomes worthless.

whispers I made 11 mil by doing all the quests except Sarah. That's SO MUCH FUN for today, yes, I love it. I hope I can get one more day of quests like this before Keith changes it back. But it can't stay like this, or everything will be more inflated than it already is and sP will be meaningless. Let's enjoy it while we can, but it can't be permanent. It won't be fun if it's permanent.

as much as i love money, i shouldnt be making 118k from one wizard quest. i wouldnt expect that on a special weekend, let alone on a tuesday.

Yeah I noticed this when I started doing Shinwa. I also noticed Maleria is asking for 3 items instead of two. Not a bad deal to get that sort of pay out. In a way it's a good thing but also bad. -lol- I'd like to find a mid ground cuz all I do is stock quest prizes now. I can't restock and vending is apparently horrible now. :/

Good for you to laugh at people who like to have a middle ground between losing high amounts of sp while doing the quests and getting insanely high payouts from the quest givers. But I´m happy we amuse you. As the saying goes: Do one good deed every day.

It´s really sad that you haven´t understood the point that both extremes are bad.

I blew through all 9 (minus Sarah) quests in under an hour. 135 + 1 bonus wiz quest. That had to be a record for me. I'm now kind of lost on what to do. I'm trying to do Drills and I guess I have battle I can do.

I find it funny* that finding a middle ground is apparently hard to do. It feels like lately it's either feast or famine for quests. Can't ever stick with one strategy because you never know when it'll change to the worse. Which for me is kind of tiring swinging from example, "can do Saggi today" to "don't touch Saggi with a ten foot pole". But I understand wanting to level things out.

Looks like they have been changed back as i made just over 2mil from almost all quests. Im a bit pissed off that it wasnt kept like that for at least a day to allow everyone to get a fair payout :(

I'm trying to console myself with the thought that if it had gone on much longer, it could have unbalanced the economy more than we wanted to, like that one time Saggi was giving such amazing rewards that people paid anything for items, and it messed up the economy and average item values for months afterward.

I really thought it was a gift because of the downtime, the lags, the problems with wardrobe etc. part of me still thinks it might be on some subconscious level at least :p
