In the guide it says you have to teach your pet scrolls. As a newbie myself I kept trying to teach it to my pet but couldn't find the option and thought the website was just glitching or something, but I made sure to post a thread in the Battle forum anyways

Anyways, I figured it out myself later that Subeta doesn't require you to teach spells anymore, all you have to do is add them from the library

I think the guide needs updating so new players like me don't get confused and frustrated in the future :)

I'd like to add that the Battle Pet widget also needs to be updated on the sidebar. When clicking on the scroll icon, we still get linked to the pet's learned scrolls rather than to the new Scroll Library :)

You can still see it by going to the Pets page and selecting Scrolls on the drop down list of the pet whose AP you want to view. I guess what I'm saying is that when I select the scroll icon, I want to be taken to my actual scrolls, you know?

This probably should be updated but you did do the right thing and figure it put yourself. Battling is about figuring things out, which weapons you should use, how to beat certain opponents, which scrolls to use. Often times people just give up because they don't want to put in the effort then theg say oh it's too complicated. There are many other resources and guides out there though kinda spread out in various places, and many people on the battle chat thread that are willing to help. It does always bother me when an official guide is wrong but I'm not too sure if the Battle admins even look at the guide, last time I wanted something changed on it, I bothered for a few weeks until she finally changed it.

How do I equip my pet with a scroll? In your inventory, click on the scroll and “Add to your scroll library”. Your scroll will be added to the library here where you can create 3 different sets (5 with a Gold Account). -needs confirmed, I am just guessing at those numbers-

Press "Create New Set" and check the boxes of the scrolls you want in your set. After creating a set, make sure that the box labelled "Default" is red, this means it is your default scroll set.

When making a scroll set, make sure your pet has enough Alchemy Points to use the set. To check Your Alchemy Points -this should really be on the same page as the scroll library, but I will write this in as it currently is- Go to the pet page here, then in the upper right side, there is a drop down arrow. Click that, and select "Scrolls". This page will tell you how many Alchemy Points you have. Don't be alarmed it will say you aren't using any of them. -again, this page should be done away with and moved all to a consolidated spot on the scroll library, or at least linked together-

How do I remove scrolls taught to my pet? To remove a scroll from the scroll library, go to either "Create New Set" or edit any of your current sets. Underneath each scroll is the word "Remove". Click that, and the scroll will be returned to your inventory.

okay I wrote that, hopefully it makes sense. it may need some clarity edits because I tend to not explain things the best. personal notes are surrounded by "-", those should be deleted but taken into account for future changes.

The scroll button on the battle pet widget needs replaced by the scroll library and the scroll library page needs some changes to make it more user friendly, the addition of your pets' ap being the biggest change. I will try to think of some things that can make it better and get back to you, but glad to know that things will happen after the servers move :)
