I'm not sure how to get items from the wardrobe that I no longer want, into my inventory. Can someone please explain? Many thanks.

It's not possible yet in v3. You'll have to use the old wardrobe and either add them to your HA > check all > checked to inventory or use the Wardrobe tab on the left-hand side to remove them.
