Ok so. I recently bought something online which wasn't a smart move for me 'cause I'm horrible at "big people" stuff and i'm super anxious to the point where i wan't to just projectile puke everywhere like a giant hurricane of pukiness... So I just thought I'd see how other people deal with it 'cause honestly I have no clue how. I can't even relax enough to sleep and it's 3am

As someone who isn't so good at managing his anxiety either, maybe I'm not the best to give advice here, but I guess it can't hurt right? Most commonly, I like to listen to people talking- one or two people of course, not a roomful. For some reason, hearing people I enjoy talking calms me down quite a bit. My most common go-tos are Welcome to Night Vale, Game Grumps, and How It's Made. The first and last actually help me fall asleep sometimes. Another thing that can help is making up stories in your head, using your favorite characters from TV shows, books, moves, etc.

And, as always, it's important to try and remind yourself that whatever you're facing IS conquerable, and you DO have the power to get through it. One day it'll just be a memory.

(Dunno if any of this is still applicable, but maybe it'll be helpful to someone. )

I have generalized anxiety and PTSD, and I like to do the same things mentioned, in addition I love watching videos that make me laugh, like Polygon's Monster Factory. When things get really bad and I can't de-escalate at ALL, I have a little stretchy little rubber bracelet that I twang with my thumbnails. For me, that's stimming and it really helps. I recommend looking into stimming and seeing if there's things around your house that can help you stim discreetly (if housemates are an issue for you).

Sometimes breathing exercises and going outside help me as well, however those don't work for everyone!

Best of luck c:
