Every Morostide item (monocle, nip, waiver) came back except for the hex remover. How come? I personally would've appreciated it :)

Considering how useless the hex remover is, I'm glad it's not back

I can imagine a couple of boards requesting for it to be lowered in price because of its single use. (Or maybe not. Just a feeling)

I don't use it because the hexes are short-lived anyway. [Edit] Ahh. I'm not against it tho.

I don't think it'd do any harm bringing it back; they're only 5 crystals apiece which is cheap enough to mean they aren't useless. I guess staff just forgot.

It's not useless, I sold my last batch of 30 within a couple of days. Otherwise, it would have just sat there.

The hexes block the previews in the wardrobe, and would drive people crazy ;)

Banking on the userbase's impatience? You're one fierce businessman. :D

But yeah, considering that you can just use the sage/hypno-monocle to avoid 99% of hexes in the first place, once you've invested in them, you don't need the hex remover.

It's a nice item for those hexes that may be undesirable for certain users :P

There were moments I got hexed like 7 times in a row so the hex removers would have been very useful. Not much use making morostide HAs if they're blocked by the hex all the time.

Even if some people wouldn't use them I don't see any harm in making them available again. It's not like you HAVE to use them... Don't need them, don't buy them.

We seem to have this discussion every Morostide.

I think the hex remover needs a revamp, personally, and made a little rarer and a little more effective. Like you use it and get a chance at a time window of being immune to hexes.

Inb4 someone goes, "But that's (reason why it's a bad idea)!" I did say chance and I did say timed.

that would render the monocle and sage useless if the hex remover also blocked hexes. That's what those items are for.

I called it, lol.

Neither the monocle or sage are 100% effective so I don't see the issue, tbph.

-knocks on wood- I've only been hexed a handful of times while wearing my monocle. So, I'd say they're pretty effective.

As for the thread, I don't see the point in bringing the Hex Remover back. I mean, staff can if they want and I'm sure there are people that will buy them up like they are going out of style, but the hexes don't last all that long, or at least they didn't seem to this year, to me. It sucks for those that get hexed a lot, but that's kind of the point of "trick" or "treat". Don't like hexes? Then get the Sage or Monocle. If you have one or the other and are still getting hexed, that's the tiny flaw they have and I'd rather it not be tampered with. After all, being hexed doesn't prevent you from still toting or anything. You just don't get anything the time(s) you are hexed.

[edit] Forgot about the wardrobe and previews, now that might make them worth coming back into existence. Then again, maybe staff should tweak them a bit to where they don't affect viewing previews/the wardrobe itself.

I was wanting to pick up one for a TC.

I'm guessing this is on my end and everyone else can see it but I've been hexed a few times and not once have I seen the hex show up. It doesn't mess with overlays or the wardrobe for me. I've cleared cache multiple times and tried another browser. I've even restarted my computer but that was because I had an update that needed it. Odd.

Now that I've said this I'll be seeing the hexes won't I? lol

They're pretty effective, they're not 100% effective nor do the effects stack.

Seems like the hex remover would be useful to newer users who aren't yet prepared to invest in the sage/monocle or for the handful of times a hex still gets through while wearing one of those two items. I don't think it's an issue not to have the hex remover available this year since neither the sage/monocle are really all that difficult to obtain, but I do see some limited benefit to releasing it as well.

I'm wearing the sage and I've gotten hexed wayyy less than I usually do in previous years while wearing it. Maybe they lowered the hex rate? Or I'm lucky.

Personally, I wish we could save hexes like we do skins... specifically the balloon hex.

I never cared if I got hexed or not, so I wouldn't use the remover, but then I'm not much of a wardrobe person. I don't see any harm in bringing them back if some people want them.

There IS a way to turn off the display of your hex in item previews, however. Just go to your Preferences and turn it off. ;)

The Hex Remover is (almost) literally useless in its current state. So, you get to remove a single hex. Whoop-dee-do. 15 minutes later when you go to ToT again, chances are high you'll just get hexed again.

I was so fed up with it this year that I just went and got the Sage. Think I've been hexed only a handful of times in the last week, rather than 10-15 times a day (which is a lot considering the super-extended wait times.)

I support 's idea of making it give an "anti-hex" buff. Perhaps a couple hours where we can't get hexed after using it. Seems like that'd make it much more desirable. Otherwise, I don't think it has a purpose other than being TC fodder.

Staff can bring it back in a token shop restock, but personally I think that slot could be filled with better items.
