I noticed that at the bottom of the terms and conditions for the Braintree sign-up it says it gathers your personal credit information from your account. Does that mean it does an official credit check? I'm realllly watchful of of my credit pings/history and don't want to try it until I know for sure.

You don't need to sign up to use Braintree for payments. I think that's mainly for businesses, and it's linked for information purposes, not to have you sign up

okay, I thought we had to click the link to Braintree to pay with it. My page is only showing me the option to pay with Paypal I think. I'm guessing because I've used that before.. Any chance you have a link to the page where you pay with Braintree?

You put your card in on the Buy CSC page. The Paypal bar is a link that lets you log into paypal, but it just looks like it's all one option to me

okay I got it now! I thought that Braintree was giving out the opal prize and that it was separated from PayPal. Just reread the news and I see that it's through stripe which they don't really say on the payment page. Thanks!

Oh, nope Braintree + Paypal are the same company and give out the same prize. Stripe payments are linked somewhere in the text at the top of the page c:
