Forced to watch anime.

I have nothing against anime, I really don't. In fact i enjoy watching a few such as Alucard, Cowboy Bebop, Hack.Sign, Oruan High Hostclub, Soul Eater and a few more but I can not remember. But when it comes to a choice between doing something outside of the house with my husband, something poßibly fun and entertaining. Or staying inside and sitting on our lazy butts and watch Netflix or something... He chooses to stay inside and force me to watch anime. Nothing else but anime. No Breaking Bad, Castle, Bones, Criminal minds, Walking Dead or anything else that is abl to be watched. No I am FORCED to watch anime.
I don't see how you could be forced to watch it. Just talk to him about it. Everyone who's in a relationship makes compromises so both parties are happy and if you're really unhappy with always watching anime just tell him that sometimes you'd like to watch something else. Also, if you both want to watch different things you could always have some alone time to each watch something different if you have another TV, computer, etc.
You've just got to be able to communicate with him.
Man I dated a guy like that for awhile. It wasn't that he made me watch anime or whatever it was just that he wouldn't pick something to do other than watch TV or Steam and that's far worse than any anime, sitting and watching people you really dislike play games. But yeah, I feel you. You'll probs have to talk to your husband about how you really aren't enjoying it.
Tbph, I despise anime. The only one that I ever saw that I remotely enjoyed was Last Exile and I never ventured further than that.

What is it with people forcing others to watch animes? ugh. I like love to watch animes and share my feelings with fellows. However, I'm not going to shove my weeb ass love in your throat just because I like it. It reminds me of my friend who has forced me to watch an anime that I seriously loathe to no end. It kinda goes both ways.
You can't force your husband to go out tho. Maybe you should explain to him that you're not interested and that you'd prefer to go out. Maybe go by yourself or with a friend? :c
It's weird, I used to be so into anime when I was younger. Nowadays I don't really watch anything outside of some Twitch and Youtube channels. But even more than that, I love a good board game.
I feel you. One of my roommates is hooked on anime, which is fine, but whenever she wants to show us 'the first episode' of one, one episode becomes two, then maybe three, and it's so droll. Thankfully that is a rare occasion, so... you might want to try talking to your husband, as other users have said. Couples don't have to share everything in common, after all. c:
I used to be super into anime in middle school. Not so much anymore. I'm more into 'live-action' shows now, lol. Walking Dead is pretty much my favorite show at the moment. Fear the Walking Dead is coming along...the first season kind of went slowly but we'll see at the start of the next. As far as anime I like now, I'm pretty much a Miyazaki girl.
