[img align=left]http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b174/theatticbox/Caretaker.png[/img]I have noticed that we have had an influx of new members lately, and I believe that the new members should be given a bit more opportunity to earn some points for their house! I spoke with the Headmistress, and she agreed. So in an effort to allow for new students to earn some House Points, we are reopening ALL of the HA challenges again for submission (except for the most recent, which was the Shopping Trip challenge)!

If you have already submitted avatars for these challenges in the past, you will not be able to submit them again! This is primarily for people who have missed the past challenges.

So without further ado... onto the challenges!

HA Challenge - Going Back to Hogwarts Show us your Muggle attire that you wore to the Hogwarts Express! Create an avatar to show what you/your character wore to catch the train! Grab your luggage/baggage, your pets, or anything else you might bring with you to the train!

A few rules for this challenge: 1.) NO HOGWARTS ROBES. 2.) NO WITCHES/WIZARDS ROBES. 3.) NO WANDS. 4.) NO MAGIC.

HA Challenge - The Greatest Wizard Career Shed all of your Hogwarts and Muggle clothing, it's time to play with the big boys. From a Ministry official to a wandmaker to a Quidditch supplies shop owner, the choices are endless. What would be your dream wizarding career?

Some rules for this challenge: 1.) NO HOGWARTS ROBES. 2.) You must tell us what your wizarding career is in your post. 3.) NO MUGGLE CAREERS! (The exception to this would be if it's one that just happens to be a wizarding career as well--such as a shopkeeper that happens to sell items that Muggles use as well. For instance, Honeydukes! Everyone loves candy!)

HA Challenge - Magical Creatures No humans allowed this challenge in your Human Avatars! Maybe we should rename them? Animal Avatars? Creature Costumes? I have no idea!

Some rules for this challenge: 1.) No Humans allowed! You can use the Vanishing Cream item or any other full background to cover up your human-ness 2.) Any animals are allowed - as long as they're magical (you can invent a magical animal for this task I.E. a Deer that breaths fire)

HA Challenge - Dentention Oh no! Now you guys have gone and done it, landed yourselves detention! Tsk tsk. You should all be so ashamed of yourselves! No matter, now it's time for your punishment! You will be going into the Forbidden Forest with Professor Sparks, to help her with a task. She has to clear out a large nest of garden gnomes that have taken up residence among an expanse of dirigible plums, located in a clearing in the center of the forest!

Some rules for this challenge: 1.) No uniforms needed, you wouldn't want them to get all dirty, would you?

HA Challenge - House Swap Now, we all know that the Sorting Hat usually stands by his decisions. If he sort you into Gryffindor, then he probably thought you might have done well somewhere else, but thought the BEST place for you to be was Gryffindor. Pretend for a moment that he made a mistake, and one of your favorite characters (or yourself) had been sorted into a different house. Which house would it be? Choose a character from the Harry Potter series and sort them into a different house! Why did you choose that house? If you don't want to re-sort a character from the series, re-sort yourself and explain why!

Some rules for this challenge: 1.) Your outfit should somehow embody the House you choose, whether it be a school uniform, in your House colors, or somehow showing that House's traits. 2.) Let us know who it is you're sorting and whether they are from the series or your original character. 3.) Please explain why you choose the House you did!

Each member may submit one avatar per challenge, and each avatar to successfully adhere to the rules of the challenge will receive 10 House Points each! No bonus points will be awarded since these are reopened challenges. Please note that for HA Challenge , if you choose to do a character from the series and successfully adhere to the challenge rules and theme, you will receive 20 House Points. If you choose to use your original character and successfully adhere to the rules and theme, you will receive 10 House Points!

These challenge will last until the end of term, which is Wednesday, October 28th at 11:59PM!

HA CHALLENGE She already stored her trunk on the train so she is just standing back watching the different people. Since this is her first year, she doesn't know anyone so she dressed in comfortable clothing that makes her feel safe.

HA CHALLENGE After Gyen leaves Hogwarts she goes on a world tour to find new and exciting creatures. Her work with Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures lets her explore new creatures and different places.

Aderyn is all ready to go into the woods with Professor Sparks. Dressed warmly for the weather, she comes bearing her wand, a lantern to light the way, a pair of safety goggles to prevent eye-gouging by unruly critters, and a German shepherd borrowed from the groundskeeper to protect her and the professor. Additionally, she has removed any unnecessary ornamentation and jewelry to provide the garden gnomes with fewer hand holds lest they swarm her.

Okay, so I haven't caught up with all my assignments yet! Heck, I just got here! Still, I wouldn't mind detention, and I am wearing work clothes. but gnomes? Why did it have to be gnomes? NOT a happy camper!

Luna Lovegood seems to be the perfect Ravenclaw, but, on the other hand, she does see and face Thestrals, she fearlessly takes on any real or imagined monster, and she will join in any adventure, even if it does mean dealing with Death Eaters. There's a lot of Gryffindor in this girl.

So here she is, standing in the Gryffindor common room, resolving her inner conflict in the BEST way possible: wacky fashion. Luna has a real aptitude for dressing in way that can leave us breathless (or maybe speechless). Here she combines the bold red of Gryffindor with the deep blue of Ravenclaw, and that means PURPLE! It's a perfectly Loony solution!

Challenge 1

Challenge 2 One of Lapis' aspirations is to become a dragon handler. She has had a few hands on experiences with hatchlings and would love to have an internship in Romania to learn more about dragon breeding and training programs as well as dragon first aid and re-release into the wild.

HA Challenge - Magical Creatures

This is an immortuserra - an undead mermaid. Muggle pollution has been a growing problem for decades, and the leaching of radioactive waste into bodies of water with magical inhabitants has begun to affect creatures such as mermaids. In the case to the immortuserrai, the radioactive material has turned them into cannibalistic, zombie mermaids that feast on the flesh of their living counterparts.

Challenge - Magical Creatures

Pictured here are the rare Ursus incendius and Vulpes ambustio. They are mammals whose natural magic protect their fur from being set ablaze. They live around active volcanoes and prefer very hot climates.

Challenge - Detention

Here we have a much subdued Emmy, bundled up in warm clothes, with a lantern and wand at the ready. She hates being in the forest at night, but she does what she's told so she won't get in more trouble!

Challenge - House Swap

Normally in Hufflepuff, Emelia is pictured here as a Slytherin. Still animal crazy (and loving snakes just as much as fluffy mammals), Emelia would do well in Slytherin because she is very ambitious and while not as unscrupulous as some in the Slytherin house, she will try as hard as she can to make her aspirations come true.

HA Challenge - Dentention Gnomes? In the Forbidden Forest? I knew I shouldn't have left doing my assignments until the last day. That means I've got to wear boots as well, if we're heading into the Forbidden Forest grumbles under her breath as she pulls on a pair of massive boots Argh, now the button's fallen off my jeans grabs a piece of cloth and ties it around her waist to act as a 'just-in-case' belt wanders into the forest Oh this is nonsense, I can't see a thing.... "Lumos".... oh, I think I might have wandered off too far - where is everyone?

HA Challenge - House Swap I've always wondered what Hermione Granger would be like as a Slytherin.... punching another student would definitely be breaking the rules, and what better house for her to be in than Slytherin? ;)

If she hadn't been sorted into Ravenclaw, Aderyn would have made a fine Hufflepuff. While the pursuit of knowledge is her prime objective and the force that drives her, she is also fiercely loyal and makes friends easily when she engages with others. She is not at all judgmental and is accepting of all those around her. Further to that, she is patient, true, and unafraid of toil like all Hufflepuffs as per the sorting hat!
