Hypothetically, let's say an account says it is eligible for clearing today, but the pet names on said account are still "taken" when trying to re-create them. Do pet names also clear at the stated day/time on the account, or must one wait for the "eligible for clearing" banner to pop up on the pet profile, too, OR do pet names not always clear on time (, etc.)? Basically, why would the names still be taken if the account is past the clearing time and no one else has yet taken the names?

They clear at 3pm (and often clear the day before). I would double check the account and make sure the user didn't come back, and then just run a search and make sure no one else took the names.

[edit] It also depends what pet you're trying to make...Bumbii don't let you use an inactive name upon creation

Hmmm. Then I don't know :c Sorry! I only caught one name from a clearing so far, and I was able to create a pet with the name the day before with no issues.

Have you tried maybe a hard refresh, or silly question, checking your own account? Maybe you clicked the create button an extra time or something and you already got the name?

That's a good suggestion, actually! Didn't think of that! Unfortunately, wasn't the issue. Hard refresh did nothin'. Hm. Thank you, though!

I just looked at some accounts that were due for clearing today, and it seemed that there was a glitch, and those accounts weren't cleared.

If an account clears, the notice would change from "This account will be eligible for clearing on XX/XX/XX at 3:00 pm." to "This account is inactive. You can Change your Username to it!". And the notice will appear on the pet profiles. This might be caused by the recent cron issues or something else. You might want to file a ticket or post on the bug forum.

Ahh. Well then. The one time I set up to snatch a name, it glitches. Just my luck. 😐 lol Thank you, though. I'll do just that.
