This is just something I noticed and didn't see any announcement made anywhere so I though this would be the best place to post. As of the past day I've noticed that the frag rates have gone way down, like I get maybe 25-33% of the crystals I use to when turning items in. Is this an official/permanent change?

I did fragmentize some stuff today for Major Drills and like you got 20-30%. If there was an Announcement somewhere, I didn't see it either. I dumped thousands of items into it yesterday, and I'm glad that I did.
It used to be around one in four to one in six for rarities less than 65 when the Fragmentizer was introduced, so this most recent thingy where it's been almost one to one is the anomaly.
The change to the nearly one to one rate wasn't really announced when it happened, only that the Fragmentizer was now accepting a broader range of rarities.
It wasn't nerfed, it was fixed. Crystals aren't supposed to go out 1:1 for restockable items.
Yeah I remember once rates got increased fragging became worth it, now I imagine a ton of people will abandon doing it except for that 1 item they want; it simply isn't worth the time in most cases
Either way it would be nice for some sort of acknowledging regardless of the terminology used. I imagine now that there will be tons more items not purchased/fragged, and frankly I don't quite see too many negatives of a higher frag rate

A higher frag rate would be nice, but they were literally going out 1:1 which is ridiculous. Instead of the market being flooded with cheap items for fragging fodder, it's being flooded with crystals. Crystals were down to under 2k (from a consistant ~5k price for as long as I can remember) before the recent additions to the crystal shop.
I don't know how long the rate was messed up for, but I had filed a ticket about it on 9/23
Well although I didn't mind a 1:1 rate I can see how it could be seen as a little high :P. However if the frag rate remains this low I would imagine that the crystal shop will end up becoming stagnant as a consequence, which would be a shame considering that it has been stocked semi-regularly recently and items have moved rather quickly, hell even the mystical plushies that got put in got some decent sales, though that will likely plummet. Additionally, there's so many items that would benefit from limited releases that it doesn't seem too difficult to cycle some of these to prevent a flooded crystal market.
Also did you get confirmation that it was a bug when you filed the ticket? It would be great to get some sort of confirmation or input from the staff on this so those interested can know whether or not it'll be fruitful to continue spending time fragging.

This is the same rate it's always been, it was a limited time that the rate was 1:1
I didn't get confirmation, but a bug report was filed and my ticket was closed. And then yesterday happened to be online and fixed another bug, so I let her know about the fragmentizer. And today it's fixed.
