What are your favorite pet species names? Which ones seem the most fitting? The least fitting?

My personal favorites are the Antlephore, Bumbus, Hikei, Tutani, Xotl, and Celinox. They all sound so wonderfully matched to their species.

My least favored are the Kanis, Dillema, and Escalade. Kanis because that name sounds more like "Canis" for a canine-type pet. Dillema because it's pretty much a real word and it just feels lazy (plus I find the pet is ugly). Escalade because I just think of the car XD

Neat discussion topic! I agree with your least favs, especially Dillema because I always want to spell the species name like the real word -X-; And yeah, Kanis makes me think of dogs and not rabbits.

My personal least favs are the ones that are real words that are pretty much names for what the pet is (Ghostly and Harvester-- although they are my favorite species, oddly enough; Fester doesn't bother me although it's a RW, since it goes well with vultures but isn't like naming the pet "Vulture") and the ones that are corny alternate spellings of what the pet is (Bovyne, Pherret).

My favorites are Bumbus (sounds so cute!), Darkonite (sounds cool), and Warador (also sounds cool). I also think Priggle is pretty cute, since it sounds kind of like prickly and reminds me of Mrs. Tiggywinkle, a hedgehog character in a kid's book XD
