so whenever the site goes down we get "This terracoon is helping us with the servers, which are currently down. Here is a message from the Subeta Team: Our servers are having some issues, but will likely be back up in a minute or two! Check the status site for more information."

but clicking on the status site link (status.subeta.net) only gets you "Heroku | No such app" / "There is no app configured at that hostname. Perhaps the app owner has renamed it, or you mistyped the URL."

is my own laptop protesting my procrastination, or is that just a broken link?

I am getting the same message when clicking on the terracoon link. You are not the only one :)

@ volkner The link doesn't work anymore because it wasn't showing accurate reports. So they took it down.
