I think it'd be cool if for every one item you gave the beast, you got 10 points instead of one. You could raise the prices in the shop, I guess... but I think it'd feel like an easier task.

There's already a way to get larger amounts of points in one go. If you smelt 100k sP, you can get 10 points in one transaction. ^_^

No thanks. It's not like it's particularly difficult to get points. Just a little time consuming (and possibly requiring you to wait for items to come up, depending on how you go about it) and if you don't have time to spare, there's the Smelter which now has an option to smelt 500k into 50 points every day instead of just 100k.

Not to mention the achievement that would be a joke at 10 points per item (and I don't know about anyone else, but even getting 10x the points, having to save up for 10x the cost for items in the shop feels like a way more daunting task)

Nope. There's plenty I want in the Recycle Beast shop and I don't have much time at all to smelt, but I understand that it requires time and effort to get what you want from that particular shop. With the addition of the sp smelter, there's no reason we need to change the way points are earned since you can just opt out of actually recycling items anyway.

A little bit too late to suggest it, and why only 10? 100 could be better...

RB is like the easiest thing here, you only need to spend some time to collect the items, even the prices on the SS are too cheap lately..

Was just a thought. I had recently just started using Recycling Beast and felt a little overwhelmed at some items that were over 1000 points.

You'd be as overwhelmed if you got 10 points per items, but the now-1 000 point item was 10 000, or even 5 000.

Some of us have worked really hard to get to the 35k RB point achievement and buy the items wanted in the shop. It would be really unfair to change the point system now. I think being able to smelt 500k for 50 points (where as you could only do 100k for 10 before) is a great enough help for those trying to get the items. It also sets an sP price to the items so if something that is 50 points is less than 500k in the user shops, it would be better just to buy it from another user than the recycle beast himself.

If you want a few hints, he does ask for shards once in a while. Earth shards, life shards, death shards, magma shards, etc. Just keep an eye on them and their prices and grab them when they're 2.5k and under or so and just shove them in your vault or whatever and check every day. There are other items he asks for a lot too like the random items or the ones from slots.
