Okay, trying very hard to remain calm here (inwardly I'm really upset and frustrated). However, I don't understand why the Beta wardrobe has been taken down without much (if there was any at all?) warning. There was warning that the classic was going to be taken down due to outdated software, but the Beta, from what I can understand, was newer software and worked well enough. Why was this taken down? Yes, I know that the V3 would be replacing it, but why was Beta taken down before V3 was complete? It's very hard to navigate, it's not near completion, the layout is mega confusing for me, it's very bright (making it hard to even look at) and not everything works.
Please bring Beta back and let us keep using it until the newest one is ready for use? I'm just so confused in this new one and I'm sure I'm not the only one. Unless Beta is on the same software as the Classic, but I don't see why it would be as it wouldn't make sense to have created the Beta wardrobe using the same software as the Classic wardrobe.

It was something to do with the whole facial features just vanishing. Personally, I find the newest wardrobe clunky and very difficult to use.

Then we have to keep up with two wardrobes at a time. We're sunsetting the old wardrobe until browsers stop supporting it, and we're working on the V3 wardrobe going forward. The beta wardrobe wouldn't have gotten any more bug fixes or changes, and there was a lot needing doing there.
The V3 wardrobe is considerably more stable, is faster, and uses far less server processing power than the beta wardrobe, and is what we're focusing on going forward.

The layout is making me want to just throw my computer out the nearest window. The Beta layout and colours, especially the layout, were optimal. It was just beautiful and easy to use. This one is just so confusing, not to mention bright with that blue instead of the soft grey, that I don't even want to use my wardrobe anymore.
I'd rather have the Beta with its bugs right now than having to deal with a new wardrobe again that is only working on a skeleton level right now

Because it doesn't make sense to have 3 broken wardrobes. If everything that's doable can be done within the one that's on its way out and the one that's on its way in, why have a third. This seems like complaining because of having to get used to something new more than anything. Obviously we all recognize that wardrobe things aren't perfect right now and it's still going to take more time to fix them.
Are we getting drawers back in the V3 (or am I missing where they already exist)? I have a fairly sizeable wardrobe and not being able to filter out my "junk" drawer is killing me.
I had pretty strong feelings about the old Wardrobe still being up in the first place, and now I'm using it when I don't want to at all. There shouldn't be a 'V3' replacing our 'V2'. We should have a single WORKING feature. The V2 could have been improved upon, the stupid notice at the top changed... anything. I'm not interested in using the V3 until it's actually part of the freaking site. I've been on this site all these years because of the wardrobe. If it isn't working, what's the point? I have many other games to take up my limited spare time and the main reason I haven't spent any real money on the site in a while is because of the wardrobe uncertainty. I'm not rage quitting, just... losing heart.
I'm not usually this angry about things, but I've been consistently angry about this. Stop it, staff. We don't want another wardrobe, another layout, another anything. We want what we have to WORK.
I have yet to use v3 as just got used to the beta, but I know i would be lost without drawers, i use them so much as I have a huge wardrobe too
Drawers are in progress :)
What I'm seeing though, and something that concerns me, is that people have huge wardrobes full of items they don't use / will never use. We need to stop incentivizing that (wardrobe achievements) and actually try to get people to just have items in their wardrobes that they want to use. Not only does have 15,000 items in your wardrobe really slow down YOUR wardrobe, but it makes the entire system sluggish.
I understand where you're coming from, but that wasn't how it was going to work. V1 isn't ever going to work again, it's based on a format that browsers are going to stop supporting because JSON won. There is no way we could rewrite the entire thing to use JSON without... rewriting the entire thing, which brings us to!
The beta/V2 wardrobe, which was an attempt to rewrite the wardrobe on top of the same kind of structure as the old wardrobe. This was foolish and has ended up with a relatively sluggish wardrobe that doesn't do anything well. People still use the V1 wardrobe for as much as they can because the V2 experience is miserable, which brings us to.... v3!
V3 Is built on ReactJS and Flux, which are libraries that are built at Facebook. Software engineers much smarter than me have done the hard work of making pieces connect and move, and I write all of the Subeta features on top of it. That means I can spend more time focusing on features and speed, than I do on really annoying internal pieces. It's also using a new version of the wardrobe API that has nothing to do with the old (v1) system, which is why it's so much faster. There are bugs, but they are easily fixable.
I hope that helps explain why just "fixing up" the v2 or v1 wardrobe isn't the answer, and I actually did a huge disservice to you, the user, by focusing on it so much. :/

I think you may have missed my point. I have closely followed the programming stuff, including on other websites. Why are we still having to click through a link to another to get to V3( something that isn't ready for the site)? Why is the oldest live version of the Wardrobe even live? It's a zombie, limping along without hope. I really don't think it makes the userbase feel better to have to click through a broken feature every time they want to change clothes. I agree and support fixing the problem. I just am completely baffled by the handling. We had three Wardrobes up at a single time. That makes no sense to me at all.
glad drawers are in progress, I got the wardrobe achievement on amount ages ago, but I tend to still fill my wardrobe up as I am a kind of person that never knows when I might need that item ( the wardrobe is my fav part on here ) many of times I have found that I didnt even have what I wanted lol
I use Safari to view Subeta at home and whilst I appreciate that the wardrobe system needs fixing, V3 wardrobe looks awful in my browser and makes changing my avatar quite difficult. I hope it will eventually be updated so it works well in all browsers.
Would there be at least a chance that the layout, colours and feel that was in the Beta could return to the V3 and soon? Beta's navigation, feeling, layout, and colours (really shades as it was a light grey instead of bright colours) were just brilliant and I would have to say one of the most welcomed layouts and layout changes that the site had. If the V3 can still look like Beta but function as it's now being programmed to function then that would be the best of both worlds.

We are working hard on the layout of the V3 wardrobe, there is a lot of progress being made, but I don't have anything to announce yet. Right now it's in basically wireframe mode while we push it out, so that at least it's usable. I can try to bring the brightness on it down a little bit :)

thanks XD Bright blue against white is so not easy on the eyes lol! The explanations, though, were greatly appreciated. Thanks for taking the time to do so! I'm far from programming-savvy, so it really helps. I can't see a link to view CW shops, though and in the progress section of the V3 it said that it's something that we can do in there. Have I just missed it somehow? LOL
Neeeeever mind on the CW part LOL! I thought green meant it was already in there XD My bad. Re-read and it meant something else LOL! Thank you again for the explanations, though!

Not at all, I understand what you're saying. The V1 wardrobe is currently the only way to remove items from your wardrobe (I'm working on replicating that now) and so it needs to stay around for as long as we can until that is a feature otherwise.
The v2 wardrobe is removed from the site, and will not be referenced to anymore.
The v3 wardrobe is what we're pointing people to, even though it isn't completely done, it is a work in progress that is coming along quickly. :)

I'm not going to say more time should have been spent fixing V2 instead of V3, but couldn't V2 have been left up until V3 actually works though? I'm still getting endless loading icon when trying to search through all items on Subeta.
At least we could have used V2 to set our avatars in the meantime, it makes no sense to force everyone to use a system that barely functions.
What are you searching for? It's possible it'll spin forever if there is no actual item from what you're searching :) I'll work on getting an error there instead of just a spinning bar forever.
[edit]
Oops! There was actually an error. Just pushed a fix :)

V3 isn't loading for me at all, no matter how many times I hard refresh or clear cache. I'm just getting that spinning loading symbol endlessly, and there's no items or avatar visible. So I'm not exactly thrilled that the only functioning version of the wardrobe on the site (V2) was removed and I don't understand the logic in removing it when V3 is nowhere near to being functional? Even when it was loading for me two days ago it took repeated clearing cache and hard refreshes and saving over and over to get it to recognise changes, which was pretty frustrating.
Besides which there isn't a way to access saved outfits in V3 currently that I can see? (I hope they're still saved?)
I've tried selecting "all items" with nothing in the search box, and I've tried putting in a search term and hitting search and then clicking all items. Endless loading spin either way.
Saved outfits can be viewed by clicking "share" and then "legacy outfits"
